Very pleased with its Apple Music performance so far.

 

I know Padam X2 started off by making inroads on Apple Music (not that I'm saying this will replicate it, but I can dream)

Disappointing first day Spotify numbers. Can she perform better in Amazon ? Any update on this platform ?

 

I think that it is more than clear that the general public does not respond very well to her dance club turn.

I find LCA good and I did not get fed up with playing it non stop like with MOM and EOSN. But I am less optimistic about how the album perform given the lukewarm reception of the singles.

 

She should stir away from this dance club sound for the next album

I totally agree, she no longer performs on TV, it’s a pity. Without a performance, a television presence adds very little.

Based on what ? I think it’s pretty respectable figures especially compared to everything else in the last 10 years.

True but I expected the main version to hang in there for a bit longer considering how long Padam stayed at #1 and how the overall market gets weaker every year. Can’t see her making top 40 this week sadly

While I wouldn't be that harsh, I can definitely agree with the bolded part - mostly because this type of dance just doesn't sell albums beyond her fanbase.

Urm PP and Tension and Dance Alone all have had multiple chart weeks and are all dance? These dance songs and remixes are all keeping her Streaming numbers up! Edge of Saturday has her on Radio 1 with lots of plays.

 

They are good numbers for Kylie It was low down on the Spotify Main New Music Friday ( ithink outside top 50) and was 18 on UK and well down on some big countries too. Spotify is dominated by Sony, Universal and Warner. Kylie is an independent and it is difficult unless a song really makes an impact. Plus she is a 56 year old woman, not easy.

 

Amazon it isnt top 400, but this can take a while. Padam was weeks and weeks until it did ok.

 

 

The sales and streams are spread across 5 different remixes. It always a risk to do it this way but it sometimes is worth taking. It only needs a physiical this week and it should be pushing top 40, 2 physicals and definiitely.

 

Gosh its a fantastic song and great video.

 

The album is only having a 3/4 week pre-order period so its not likely to do anytihng like some of her others. She will have big promo slots though.

 

She has just sold out the O2 in London 3 times in just a few hours. The Dance Kylie is what a lot of her fans want and is also the best chance she has to have crossover fans.

 

 

 

 

I hoped Padam Padam would’ve put her in a stronger position starting this era but I really think the random collabs have squandered any hype there might have been. It was probably always going to be a fluke but Tension getting to #19 proves it wasn’t necessarily a one-off. I think they messed up big time after that however.

Tension had 3 physicals out in release week hence it got so high then dropped.

 

 

Hold On To Now i think got squandered because i am guessing it features on The Residence and which got delayed and the video was shot from that series but can't be used (i could be completely wrong about this ha ha) we will find out.

 

 

You can't guarantee hits, no matter how good songs are. Its not the 80s anymore.

 

There is no way Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter should be number 1 and all the top positions all the time but they have the record company making all those influencial playlists etc.
