I'm sure they thought about releasing the physicals this week but as you say the gap from 39 to 59 etc was 4000? So there was no guarantee physicals would have got a top 40 and BMG knew this.

 

The strategy this time was to release the remixes

 

 

Maybe the next single should be video, remixes, 3 physicals, Lyric video, live performance and reduction in download price all on day 1? See what happens then lol

I do really love LCA but still consider HOTN a superior song. When HOTN just came on for me I couldn't help but think imagine how big it could of been if BMG had done for HOTN in that first week that they have done for LCA. Guess we will never know

Songs like HOTN have identity and the kylie stamp on whereas songs like LCA and EOSN lack that, while both songs are good I just feel they fall more into generic songs that won't be massively remembered by even the fans in years to come when reflecting on her music.

I love HOTN but I feel it’s one of those songs that the fanbase love but the GP don’t really care for - even without the BMG screw up with physicals and their being no video I’m not convinced it would have been a hit.

Maybe not a hit as such but it def would have managed a better peak inside the top 75.

I am pretty confident this week be top 40 on release week of album. IF the record company want it too.

 

 

I am going 2k cassettes. 2k cds, streaming 7k, downloads 1k = 12k

 

I also would have liked EOSN to be top 40 too but without a physical it may struggle. Both artists albums are out though so streaming should be good. TBM team should stick out a CD at least and not a 1159 limited one!!!

 

Of course things like this need the fans support too. with streaming everything and consistently from the start of the week

Stamps £1.67 for a first class stamp for a letter!!!!! no wonder £8.50 to send these items for Kylie etc
