October 23, 20241 yr Yeah I’d love for DWAS to get #1 but can’t see it happening. I’d love for Lady Gaga’s Disease to get #1 next week, followed by APT. (with it gaining momentum due to its wide social media exposure).

October 23, 20241 yr On what basis are we expecting a solo Gaga song to challenge for #1 It’ll most likely be Sailor Song 2 main reasons: the first is that she hasn't released an album in 4 years, the public I feel is hungry, and last album when they were a little less hungry for gaga, she still drew 40k first week for the lead single, which would probably run away with #1 next week. The second is that it's less funny to say "next week i feel number 1 is gonna be Bruno Mars or Gigi Perez"
October 23, 20241 yr too bad Careless Whisper is gonna, really thought they had a chance, they've done so many variants there is at least 4 different 12" vinyls in different colours plus a CD single all super expensive though, it's almost 100 pounds if you want them all :o
October 23, 20241 yr I think we have to bear in mind for Gaga is that she's got a big hit in the charts right now, so this isn't going to carry the came "comeback" hype that Stupid Love had. Not to say it doesn't stand a chance of doing well of course, depending on how it sounds.

Shallow was improved despite being a departure of what gaga normally does, harlequin was hurt by it. The diehards who bought harlequin aren't satisfied, and the casuals didn't listen cause they don't care about lady gaga performing as Harley Quinn. Gaga being the big performer that people want her to be will hit entirely different than her playing a character in a movie. I'm not saying it'll for sure go number 1, I'm just saying don't be surprised if Gaga returning to a sound untethered by what another artist wants or by a movie character is something fans are hungry for
