No idea if she has a following on BuzzJack but someone who could just as easily fit into the category of "artists who have fallen off the face of the planet" is this one time Scottish star Amy Macdonald, whose posted today that she's working on a new album.

Not sure what her sound is like these days but will keep an eye on this one to see what she offers.

Her earlier hits Me Rock And Roll and This Is The Life both gave her Top 40 hits back in 2007 but she hasn't had a hit since.

This is your Life is one of the best songs of the 00s <3 it's a pity she could never had another hit after that

and the song wasn't a big big hit in the UK either but at least it pushed the album to #1

took me a while to figure out Me Rock & Roll it's actually Mr. Rock & Roll :)

My dad is a big fan so I grew up with her first albums this is the life, life in a beautiful light and a curious thing! Love her and have been following her recent output too she’s great. Excited for this

The weird thing is it peaked at #27 in the UK but was a huge EU hit, #1 or top 3 in all EU countries. I lived in Italy at the time and I remember people were coming up to me and asking me to translate the song into Italian or the meaning behind some lines in the song

Im sure that if they had re-released it in the summer after it had been a hit all over EU, it could have been massive in the UK too

I think she was always much more of an album artist here, although the song had a pretty solid chart run despite its peak and I'd say was already widely-known so I'm not sure a re-release 4-5 months later would've necessarily changed anything.

On first listen this is what I've been waiting for, actually!

Added to my playlist. Don't think I've heard anything from her in over a decade now!
