They consist of DJs Joe and Flynn. Joe and Flynn met in 2019 at a student party while studying together at the University of Manchester. During the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, they were able to share their interest in music production. They eventually joined forces as the duo Bl3ss and initially began producing music together over the internet because of the COVID restrictions. When the restrictions ended, they began DJing at house parties. They then performed in clubs and at festivals. In 2024, Bl3ss released the song Kisses together with CamrinWatsin feat. bbyclose, which went viral and earned them a chart position in the German and British singles charts. In the British charts, it reached the top 10 at number 5 and was a hot candidate for Song of the Summer, but then only ranked at number 25. The song was also played at Tomorrowland. November 8, 20241 yr I'd rather a lot of songs were #1 instead of this - even among Gracie songs I'd rather it was ILYIS, but 'Close To You' is the one of hers that deserved a much higher peak.
November 8, 20241 yr New entries and new peaks outside the top 40: 47. Chappell Roan - Casual (NEW) 51. Pawsa - Too Cool To Be Careless (+12) 52. Nimino - I Only Smoke When I Drink (+13) 55. Chrystal - The Days (+5) 64. Don Toliver - New Drop (+15) 69. Central Cee - One By One (NEW) 81. Shawn Mendes - Heart Of Gold (NEW) 85. D-Block Europe ft. 9Goddy - Won't Ever Know (NEW) Christmas songs: 58. Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (RE) 61. Wham! - Last Christmas (RE)
November 8, 20241 yr Nice for Gracie anyway, her star is really rising at Sabrina levels at the moment. The possibility of Gracie spending 9 weeks at number 1 doesn't make me happy. :( Dirty Cash only now getting a re-entry at #100. Too late for the Menendez Brothers hype. :( D- Block Europe flopping in at #85 though. :w00t:
November 8, 20241 yr Wham! behind ahead of Mariah on all chart updates only for Mariah to end up ahead of Wham!
November 8, 20241 yr So no top 100 songs from The Cure, how depressing the charts are these days. I was sure "Alone" would hold on.
November 8, 20241 yr Have to admit, it is nice to not have the Christmas songs enter the top 40 this week. It’s inevitable it will start but it’s nice to hold back on them. I need a couple of weeks before the Christmas madness starts.
November 8, 20241 yr Have to admit, it is nice to not have the Christmas songs enter the top 40 this week. It’s inevitable it will start but it’s nice to hold back on them. I need a couple of weeks before the Christmas madness starts. Same. To think that this time last year, they were both in the top 40
November 8, 20241 yr Wonder if the top 40 can go another week without christmas songs I’d love it if the top 40 didn’t have Christmas songs at all
November 8, 20241 yr The possibility of Gracie spending 9 weeks at number 1 doesn't make me happy. :( I suppose Wham! will see off that threat. Unless Gracie gets 3/4 weeks now and another six in the new year, which seems unlikely.
November 8, 20241 yr I can see Gracie's track being a typical viral hit with a quick boost and then slight and continuous decline (that's how Taste went on ACR already in its 10th week).
November 8, 20241 yr The same equivalent chart from this time last year was on the 10th November and those extra 2 days would've allowed for the Xmas increase to take hold further. Given Wham! and Mariah are on ACR, I'd say they're probably where they would be anyway and next week they'll be well into the T40.
November 8, 20241 yr One don’t went Christmas songs in top 40 bar humbug to you Course I don’t when it’s the same repetitive songs going in the chart every year and it’s also made the race for Christmas #1 single less excitable. I used to get excited for the race for Christmas #1 but now I don’t. If Wham! or Mariah are constantly gonna get Christmas #1, OCC need to do something about it. My suggestion would be to remove streaming from Christmas songs that are more than 3 years old
