Kylie likely doesn't bother making an effort with Santa Baby because it's a cover, released on a previous label... so it's just left to its own devices. The fact that it's managed to do pretty well in the streaming era feels largely by chance.

Same goes for why she hasn't pushed any of her other Christmas songs in recent years. If anything happens with one of her songs in the future, it'll likely only be because Spotify randomly decide to favour one, rather than a specific effort being made. I highly doubt it'll even be on her wavelength that Santa Baby is performing less well or that she'll feel the need to react to that.

Maybe if she did a second Christmas album (with BMG) she'd put the work in!

I'll always think both the 2015 and 2016 attempts were rather mishandled anyway. All those original Christmas songs, yet she launched the project with Only You which is not even a Christmas song... madness!

She licensed the KC album to Parlophone via the Firewheel company (which later absorbed into Darenote) so she certainly has more control over the album (and likely more profit) than some of her others.

True! Although I think my points still stand, that she lacks motivation or concern about Santa Baby and the Kylie Christmas era in general. I'll be seriously surprised if there's a 10th anniversary album / 25th anniversary single releases next year.

She sent out quite a few Xmas Social Media posts this year.

3 versions of Santa Baby in the top 100 this week

Happy to see Kylie add another week to her chart run.

Agree - it seems like she’s not bothered and I guess it very much was an album to conclude her Parlophone deal, as said before she could easily do more with KC with very little effort but the motivation is clearly not there (aside from her team doing the usual social media posts).

Id also agree, i dont think she is too bothered about Kylie Christmas as if she was she really would be behind it much more as the reality is she doesnt do much at all help it tick over, a few social media posts really only hits her target audience who have it anyway. I think the writing was on the wall when we saw how badly handled the snow queen edition was, since then she really hasnt had anything to do with the album, she did promote well when it was originally released but i have felt it was a contractual release for her more than anything else.

Santa Baby despite it been one of her biggest UK hits (not a fact im overly happy about i must say when she has so many better songs) is a song that has done well by itself and im sure she has made a few quid from it and she still isnt really behind that either, maybe she feels the same way about the song that most us here do and just doesnt want to promote it any further.

Push 'Christmas Isn't Christmas Till You Get Here' and get it on an advert.

Honestly why this wasn't pushed as a single in the first place is beyond me!?!?

I think they thought they had a hit on their hands and certainly a story to tell to the media with the PWL remix of EDLC and similarly, getting a duet with Dannii out there too.

I think at the time different songs were used for promo and none really stuck with the public on the back of it and none got a huge push.
