I mean, it's kind of a no-brainer that if it's not getting support from anywhere that matters on Spotify then it's not going to appear in their chart.

I really hope as many people as possible grab a physical copy. I was thinking today (While rewatching her Brits performance for the 800,000th time) we just can't lose someone from the UK that genuinel

I was expecting much worse after the first midweek on Monday so im happy she managed a 2nd week top 70.

Everyone say thank you Spotify for completely stopping this era in its tracks.

A second week top 100 hopefully it can stable and get a few more weeks with a remix now being released

Down to 75 on AM now. The likes of Castle On The Hill and Shape of You by Ed Sheeran are now above it... don't really know if something has prompted their rise or people just rarely listen to new releases. Hopefully it can bounce back a bit after the weekend but it's not looking good.

Maybe the album announcement can bring a bit of hype

I think it's safe to say this is a flop but without Spotify support it didn't stand any chance.

There's so much potential there so hopefully the label keep pushing on as the album should sell decently and then she can start to build up solo support from the festivals. She's already back in the studio working on album 2 so fingers crossed this happens with RCA and doesn't end up being an independent release as I feel the second album could actually be more successful now she's finding her sound.

Hopefully she gets Capital Summertime ball and all these performances can build up the hype again.

She should start with new campaign this sep/oct. Hopefully she will have a killer song ready for that time…

I think September would be too early. If the album is coming in June, I think theoretically we’d get another single alongside the album release and then a final single in September time.

I don’t expect the J2 lead single until next April earliest.

The way I still get adverts for all the unsold physicals and they don’t even think about selling them out by reducing the prices.

77 in the mids! Hopefully hangs on for a 3rd week.

I think we should be thinking about getting this album released first, before anything else!

Amen to that!
The way anyone hopes a second Jade album might see the light of day next year when you're never quite sure if the debut is definitely coming yet!!

No harm in dreaming, I guess.

Absolutely no expectation that this was hold Top 100 for a third week, so even seeing it in the midweeks is a pleasant surprise.

Guess that's down to the new remix?

It’s not dreaming, it is that sadly this campaign is over for her. If she disappears, after 3 years out recording the debut, will be impossible to her. Now she have critics and public with her, she needs to take advantage of that and try to put out one hit soon :)

I don't know how you can conclude that this campaign is over before she has even announced her debut album, and when she has festival slots at Glastonbury and R1 Big Weekend to fulfil. She also said she wants more songs out by then to fill her slots with... unless you think the debut will not see the light of day now?

If the record company pull the plug on her debut, then they will pull the plug on her contract with them and she will end up having to either find another record company or go independent. Either of those options is going to take years, not months.

So I do think it's dreaming for a second album to be out next year when a first hasn't been released yet.

Tbf she did say herself she wants to get the next album out soon after the first. Obviously what she intends and what will happen are two very different things though. But it’s possible.

I really do think that the album delay is at least partially due to Jade, she said originally that her label wanted her to have the tracklisting and everything done by the end of last year but she didn't end up having it done until after the BRITs. It sounds like she wanted to go back in and rework the album quite a bit when she decided to change the name, although I guess we won't really know until the album is released and we see if it's different from those leaks. Maybe I'm just being too optimistic but I don't think there's been a moment where her label were considering shelving the album.

Do you think? I'm almost convinced they saw how badly Fantasy did and what happened to Perrie and Leigh's second / third releases and put the album on pause maybe not shelving it completely but hoped another song would be a hit like AOMD. I really don't think without The Brits she would be releasing the album this quickly. I think she probably got the festival slots as a result of being Brit Nominated.

I guess none of us will know but The Brits definitely sped things up into getting an album out there

This single obviously hasn't done well but it seems to have connected a bit more to the GP as it's still at 35 on itunes whereas all the other singles bar AMOD stuck around at all. I know itunes sales are pointless but it is helpful in showing if it's reaching people.

Heard this on Scott Mills’ breakfast show on Radio 2 for the first time today! He referred to it as ‘Forget You For Now’ unsurprisingly.
