  • I assume it will at some point, probably like the US version later down the line. But so far all it’s said is it’s on RTE One.

  • I've watched the first few eps - its good! Read it gets a bit nasty towards the end, but need to catch up on it. Siobhan is fantastic though!

So this has now finally started in the UK this week with the first 2 episodes up. BBC Three are airing it in full after the launch on BBC One at midnight earlier today. Episodes 1 and 2 are up on iP

I’d intended to apply for this, unfortunately you needed to supply a Republic of Ireland phone number for the form so a Nordie couldn’t take part. Will be interesting to see how this compares to other international versions.

Confirmed that the BBC have now acquired this and it'll be on iPlayer in November when Celebrity Traitors ends!

I havnt watched it myself but i have heard great things about it and that RTE pulled a great show together.

Not sure where to post this, so if it needs to be moved please do so.

The Traitors Austria is back in 2026 with a new host, Gretel Killeen.

Gretel Killeen Is probably best known as the original host of Big Brother Australia, I think she’ll be great.

Episodes 1 and 2 are up on iPlayer now with BBC Three airing them tomorrow, and then they'll be showing 2 eps per week on a Monday night from 9pm.

Really? Watched the first episode and there def a nordie accent for one of them, albeit he could be from Louth/Monaghan/Cavan/Sligo/Donegal.

If he lives on the border he could probably get a down South phone number arranged in some way. If I decide again to apply for the Irish Traitors and there’s the same issue I may try seeing if there’s a workaround.

Or rte could stop being a bunch of partitionist w*n**rs !

First 2 episodes were a bit dry but I’ll still give a watch to the rest once it’s aired on iplayer

Paudie from this series is currently on the Irish version of Strictly 🤣

I got up to episode 4 and then the place I was watching it via didn't upload anymore eps. So I'll be giving this a watch/ rewatch when more eps drop on the i-player

Watched this via a VPN/RHAP when it was coming out in September and my no spoiler thoughts on this series were

  1. RTE doesn't bleep out the swearing which happens near constantly in the first few episodes - suspect that won't survive contact with iPlayer

  2. The UK4 faithfuls could learn a thing or two from the Irish faithfuls

  3. Production did a great job at making it a uniquely Irish show within the missions/twists

  4. The roundtables are HEATED af, especially towards the end

  5. The players kind of broke the game - this will make sense when you watch the season

Overall, this might be the best first season of a Traitors franchise since UK1

Minor grips but it looks so cheap next to the UK series. The banishment room has such dull lighting and looks like they're all just sitting in a random office room somewhere. The editing and sound effects need some work too. Just all looks and feels very dull and lifeless.

Saying that though the cast are really interesting and the Faithfuls seem very switched on already!
