Definitely not Cliff's finest work in terms of his Christmas number 2s, not fussed about them dropping out. Was going to give a point to Gordon but subbed him out for Bieber in the end. Aside from When I'm Dead... and the very underrated Floral Dance (a friend of mine is from Brighouse ^_^) I don't like any of the other dropouts!

Chuckling a bit at Gracie finishing below Westlife.

As many as 4 people voting for 'My Ding-A-Ling' though? *_*

Chuck Berry yes, no to the other two  Drake pending of course

Drake hasn't done anything.

Gracie was a place filler for me really so I'm not even mad that it's out despite voting for it

Gracie out before Teletubbies :cheeseblock: All is right with the world x

I thought Millennium Prayer would be the one I'd be most flabbergasted at people pointing, but Let's Party too? Oh dear x

25/12/2004 Ronan Keating Featuring Yusuf Father And Son

Peak: 2

This matched the #2 peak of the Boyzone only original, entering behind Band Aid 20 in Christmas week. The original by Yusuf, formerly known as Cat Stevens, never charted but for me is far superior to either version involving Ronan.

Cannonball - Little Mix (2011)

The original “Cannonball” reached #19 for Damien Rice, and this cover was the winner’s single for Little Mix. They decided to release this for the week preceding the Christmas chart to make sure of #1, and that proved wise as the sales for Military Wives the following week were more than 2.5 x greater than the first week sales for this.

After collaborating on Ed’s chart topper “Take Me Back To London”, Stormzy returned the favour by bringing Ed onto his record. After finishing 2nd behind LadBaby in the Christmas chart, this did reach the top but only thanks to “Dance Monkey” being on ACR.

We lose our first maximum pointer here! I don’t think there’s ever been a hit quite like this: a Tesco exclusive in aid of the British Red Cross with Katie’s vocals recorded over the late Eva’s version of the Louis Armstrong classic. It reached #1 in the pre Christmas week before being knocked off by Leon Jackson’s X Factor winning single.

Can't think of anything more British than a Tesco homebrand product reaching the top of the charts and being a contender for Christmas number 1

This is definitely my favourite song I know from Kenny Rogers, though I didn’t quite find a place for it in my votes. It was held off the top by “Two Little Boys”.

And only having 3 weeks in the top 40

'Cannonball' was fairly good as far as X Factor singles go and I liked the Yusuf/Ronan version of 'Father and Son' and 'Own It' is fine too.

I was trying to decipher if that man in the video was Katie Melua or Eva Cassidy but it's Jeff Buckley :P

Also cant see Cannonball voters?

Edited by Jason

I really liked Little Mix's renditions of 'E.T.' and 'Don't Let Go (Love)' on X Factor but their winner's single wasn't the most interesting, am not surprised that they quickly stopped performing it.

I hated this at the time but now I quite like the different spin it brought to the song, and it gets Britpop fan Jester’s maximum score. It was held off the top by “Earth Song”. The Mike Flowers Pops had a couple more minor hits with covers of classics.
