January 3, 20251 yr I wonder if the success of 'APT.' will usher in more hits of this kind of sound in 2025. You mean ripping off a sound The Tings Tings did in 2008?
January 3, 20251 yr I really enjoy all of 'Bug', 'Headlock' and 'Indigo', here's to further progress for them. You mean ripping off a sound The Tings Tings did in 2008? Pretty much
January 3, 20251 yr Aww I was hoping Sam Barber was top 40 today. He still has a chance though. I’m sure he will next week, he had a big climb on Spotify today.
January 3, 20251 yr Oh Ed held on in the end. Worth it for getting Afterglow on a number one album alone  tbf Afterglow was already on the expanded edition of = which was a #1 album
January 3, 20251 yr I pretend to not see the #1. Yay for 'APT.' returning to its peak and 'Messy' going top 3, shame it's not looking super likely either of them will be getting to #1 now. Also yay for 'Die With A Smile' returning to the top 10 while still on ACR. 'Somedays' being granted a reset does feel a bit sus but anything to keep 'Bad Chem' out of the top 10 :teresa: The PAWSA version of 'Dirty Cash (Money Talks)' is nothing particularly interesting but I will take it over the Guetta/Kygo school of dance remakes x And I stand corrected on Radio 1 not playing any Christmas songs if they stayed in the top 40. Will be the last we see of that Tom Grennan song anyway since Amazon never bother pushing their older exclusives as hard a second time and I really can't see this being the one to catch on on other platforms. Also somewhat happy to see Ed getting the #1 album after all, interested to see if his upcoming (rumoured?) return to poppier music will actually translate to his chart fortunes recovering in a great way. I'm sure he'll be getting a 9th #1 album this year no matter what but whether it has any longevity and/or produces big hit singles feels quite up in the air.
January 4, 20251 yr Hope Apt and Messy both get to #1 but delighted for Gracie getting a sixth week, bonafide smash and very excited to see her live in March! Would love Close to You and Risk to rise to new peaks as well, and Blowing Smoke deserves it’s moment! Edited January 4, 20251 yr by Boymetworld91
