February 5Feb 5 Unwritten being back is a bit of a surprise. Wonder how well the Ariana version of Save Your Tears is holding up for that to show up
February 5Feb 5 Headlock must have climbed again as well this week right? Bit of a surprise to see Unwritten (#25 in 2024) [also #111 in 2004] back which becomes the first drop out to re-enter this year. I had noticed Save Your Tears (2021: #4, 2022: #37, 2023: #55) doing quite well on the hip-hop chart so not too surprised to see that, will see if it can hang around following the Weeknd's new album. Interesting that it now seems to be more popular than Blinding Lights but I guess having two popular versions helps. It joins Another Love and The Sound of Silence as tracks yet to chart on audio streaming this year. Not Like Us will almost certainly re-enter next week along with possible appearances from CRG, Sports car and Do I Wanna Know? (Hozier) although I think the latter may have missed its chance now tbh. I also think its possible that All the Stars could enter in a few weeks.

I had been fascinated by how long “Save Your Tears” had managed to stay ahead of “Blinding Lights” and that it was still just managing to keep its nose in front in the early part of last year, but over the summer “Blinding Lights” was well ahead and I thought that would probably be permanent. Interesting that it’s now reversed again - maybe “Save Your Tears” is slightly more favoured in winter.

February 11Feb 11 Assumed Go Your Own Way was doing a little better. Think that and Don't Stop Me Now are the two songs I've been the most unsure about when calculating.
February 11Feb 11 Will sabrina be the first female to have 3 "millionaires" from 1 album when taste gets there
February 11Feb 11 Will sabrina be the first female to have 3 "millionaires" from 1 album when taste gets there Nah definitely not, pretty sure Adele and Gaga have managed on top of a few others
February 11Feb 11 Author Nah definitely not, pretty sure Adele and Gaga have managed on top of a few others Yeah “21” has 3 over 2.4 million. “Go Your Own Way” has been consistent at 8k or so per week, but the bar went up a little more this week. We may see it again.
February 11Feb 11 Will sabrina be the first female to have 3 "millionaires" from 1 album when taste gets there Studio albums by female artists with at least 3 songs over 1 million chart sales: Adele - 21 Adele - 25 Amy Winehouse - Back to Black Anne-Marie - Speak Your Mind Ariana Grande - My Everything Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman Beyoncé - I Am...Sasha Fierce Beyoncé - 4 Billie Eilish - WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? Dua Lipa - Dua Lipa Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia Jess Glynne - I Cry When I Laugh [deluxe] Katy Perry - Teenage Dream Lady Gaga - The Fame Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad Rihanna - Loud Rita Ora - Phoenix Selena Gomez - Rare [deluxe] Sia - This Is Acting Taylor Swift - 1989 Zara Larsson - So Good And if we count groups: Little Mix - Get Weird Little Mix - Glory Days Spice Girls - Spice Not necessarily comprehensive, entirely possible I missed some and this only really counts artists who have been active in the charts in the past few years in most cases.
February 11Feb 11 Ooh interesting didn't expect so many , does the number drop for 4, 5 etc and which album has most
February 11Feb 11 4: Ariana Grande - My Everything Katy Perry - Teenage Dream Little Mix - Glory Days Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad Rita Ora - Phoenix Zara Larsson - So Good 5: Anne-Marie - Speak Your Mind Lady Gaga - The Fame [including The Fame Monster as they charted together in the UK, otherwise it's 3 for The Fame and 2 for The Fame Monster] Taylor Swift - 1989 6: Dua Lipa - Dua Lipa This is including features that are included on album tracklists btw (so Rockabye counts for Speak Your Mind, for example). I've noted it specifically for Jess and Selena because they've only hit 3 with the benefit of features included on a deluxe edition of the album. If we discount features, 1989 and The Fame have the most (Dua Lipa's total includes One Kiss, Scared to Be Lonely and No Lie, all added to a re-issue, though worth noting Rockabye was on Speak Your Mind from day 1). Again, there may be some errors here, most of the information I work with for this stuff is the BPI certifications, and I'll only know a song's over 1 million once it's certified 2x platinum for 1.2 million chart sales, so there's every chance the statistics are a little off.
February 11Feb 11 No surprises to see Not Like Us (#43 last year) back in with Unwritten dropping straight back out. Not Like Us has now charted on audio streaming too. Next week I expect to see Sports car, Abracadabra and probably All the Stars too. End of Beginning, Thick of It and You've Got the Love are in trouble. Assumed Go Your Own Way was doing a little better. Think that and Don't Stop Me Now are the two songs I've been the most unsure about when calculating. Don't Stop Me Now can sort of be tracked by the Rock & Metal chart, it's usually pretty useless but is an okay guide atm with The Sound of Silence and The Emptiness Machine both charting. Go Your Own Way is basically a guessing game though, I'm surprised it held on so long as it's doing a lot worse on Spotify (where it's barely charted at all) than last year where it only survived til week 3. Same goes for Don't Stop Me Now tbf.
February 13Feb 13 "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" looking on track to do a 2nd year above 1 million? Will become only the 5th song to do over 1 million in two consecutive years if it it does I believe (Others being "Perfect", "Bad Habits", "Dance Monkey" & Someone You Loved")? I think it needs to average 18k/week for the rest of the year. It's still doing 25k+ per week and can see the song potentially being boosted by the BRITS and Billie's tour over the summer should boost the song further.

Technically we have 7 songs currently on course to do that with “Stick Season” and “Stargazing” just short! Of course most of them will surely drop off and not achieve it. “Birds Of A Feather” and “Good Luck, Babe!” look in the best position to do it at the moment if anything does - as per your list I don’t think any #2 hits have done it before, though “Cruel Summer” came close!

Agreed. Do you think Good Luck, Babe! might be the most likely Julian, if it gets added to a possible new Chappell album this year?
February 15Feb 15 Next week I expect to see Sports car, Abracadabra and probably All the Stars too. End of Beginning, Thick of It and You've Got the Love are in trouble. Add a re-entry for Go Your Own Way to that list, probably at the expense of NIGHTS LIKE THIS
