January 10, 20251 yr Author 02 | 02 | 12th week ROSÉ and Bruno Mars APT. 1st single from rosie Released: 17th October 2024 Label: ROSÉ The K-pop dynamo finds a formidable match for a powerhouse display. - Apple Music Chart Statistics NE (31/10/2024) | 4-2-3-3-3-3-3-4-5-28-2-2 Sales: 300,000+ Certification: Silver Status: Standard Chart Ratio 02 Sales 02 Audio Streaming 01 Video Streaming Video ekr2nIex040 Biography There’s a verse in her 2021 debut solo single “On the Ground” that BLACKPINK member ROSÉ singles out as being especially meaningful: “I worked my whole life/Just to get right, just to be like/‘Look at me, I'm never comin' down.’” “That verse just hits me,” she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “It’s just the fact that, literally, I have been working my whole life.” Born Roseanne Chaeyoung Park to Korean parents in Aotearoa New Zealand in 1997, ROSÉ grew up mostly in Melbourne, Australia, where she sang in the church choir and learned how to play piano and guitar, dreaming of becoming a professional musician. In 2012, she passed an audition to become a K-pop trainee under YG Entertainment, and she moved to Seoul as a teenager. After four years of a famously rigorous K-pop training process that includes singing, dancing, and language lessons, ROSÉ debuted with BLACKPINK—alongside JISOO, JENNIE, and LISA—in 2016. The hard work paid off, with BLACKPINK shooting to global stardom. Their debut song “BOOMBAYAH” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, and was followed by other hits like "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and "Kill This Love.” In 2023, they became the first Korean act to headline Coachella. In 2021, ROSÉ released her debut single R, which included the breakup track “Gone” alongside “On the Ground.” The latter became the highest-charting song by a Korean female soloist on the Billboard Hot 100, and became the first song by a Korean soloist to top the Billboard Global 200. The song is a reminder of the importance of staying grounded in reality and being grateful for what you find there, even—and perhaps especially—when you’re one of the biggest K-pop artists in the world. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History ROSÉ 2021 43 On The Ground -1- 2024 02 APT. January 10, 20251 yr Author 01 | 01 | 12th week Gracie Abrams That's So True 4th single from The Secret of Us Released: 18th October 2024 Label: Gracie Abrams Chart Statistics NE (31/10/2024) | 19-3-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-21-1-1 Sales: 400,000+ Certification: Gold Status: Standard Chart Ratio 12 Sales 01 Audio Streaming 00 Video Streaming Video BDHM8cyJQa8 Biography Los Angeles singer/songwriter Gracie Abrams has a talent for cutting to the quick. A song about a breakup’s messy aftermath, “21” opens bluntly with the line: “I missed your 21st birthday.” Another song about finding it hard to move on revolves around the simple admission, “I miss you, I’m sorry.” Abrams’ swift incisions are particularly notable given that her father is director J.J. Abrams, whose television series Lost boasted such ingeniously convoluted plotlines. Born in 1999, the Los Angeles native grew up listening to Joni Mitchell and Elliott Smith, but it wasn’t until she discovered Phoebe Bridgers, at age 13, that she began writing her own songs. She wrote “minor”—about a crush who lived too far away for her to visit before curfew—at age 17. “It was the first time that I’d written a song where I felt like I wasn’t trying to emulate someone else’s sound,” she tells Apple Music. Even Abrams’ early singles display a wisdom beyond her years. Released when she was 20, “21” revolves around the devastating line, “You’ll be the love of my life when I was young”—an elegant example of her knack for turning an idea as simple as “young love” into a complex meditation on life’s changes. “Looking back is unattractive to me,” she acknowledges, yet while preparing her first long-form statement—2020’s minor—she realized she needed to reflect to move forward. “Thinking about what that meant and how the songs needed to exist together,” she says, the experience of writing “minor” as a teen never went away. “It was always in the back of my head. I didn’t want to run away from it.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2023 72 Everywhere, Everything (Noah Kahan & Gracie Abrams) 2024 81 I miss you, I'm sorry -1- 2024 67 Risk -1- 2024 31 Close To You -2- 2024 37 us. January 10, 20251 yr When's the physicals for Bed Chem out? Today, but it's vinyl only What version of The Days is this. Is this the remix version that’s actually popular or the original? The Chart Show played the original but Radio 1 have switched to the NOTION Remix for the main daytime playlist from today
January 10, 20251 yr So Sam Barber missed out because 2 old songs were reset! Ridiculous. Is he confirmed at #41 or #42?
January 10, 20251 yr Ideally both apt and messy both get turns at the top, but I won’t complain if Lola is the only one who manages :kink: apt is such a tune, so glad it’s smashing. Wonder what Bruno will do next!
January 10, 20251 yr 'APT.' outsold Gracie by less than 500 sales to take #2 in November - kind of wish it had got 6 weeks in a row at #3 instead now that it's returned to #2.
January 10, 20251 yr I still prefer “APT.” to “Messy”, but if the latter is more likely to have a shot at beating Gracie happy for it to get the jump.
January 10, 20251 yr Author  Future chart hit? JADE IT girl Promotional single from forthcoming studio album Released: 10th January 2025 Label: Sony Music Entertainment UK Video DO6vYic0TyA Biography The mononym Jade might be hard to place for audiences, but her presence -- particularly on the U.K. charts -- has been familiar as a member of Little Mix, who won the British singing series The X Factor and amassed over a dozen Top Ten hits at home, including five chart-topping singles. After the group announced their hiatus in 2022, Jade embarked on a solo career and scored a hit of her own in 2024 with the thrumming, synthy summer jam "Angel of My Dreams." - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2024 07 Angel Of My Dreams -1- 2024 93 Midnight Cowboy -PS- 2024 52 Fantasy -2- 2025 00 IT girl -PS- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 1 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 3 x Top 100 Social Media JADE http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/uploads/group_images/of_235.png
January 10, 20251 yr IT Girl is so much better than Midnight Cowboy and Fantasy. Hopefully it will be a big hit for Jade. :D
January 10, 20251 yr Surely the Jimin thing needs to be looked into by the OCC, it's so clear it's not organic growth and is bots??? Well done to Elton, nice to see quite a few albums climb to No.1 of late - Chappell, Charli, Ed, Elton. Feels like it stopped happening for such a long time. I know three of those four were prompted by new editions or formats and price cuts though so it's not quite the same as back in the day.
