I admit I have only seen Eraserhead in film class once for a module I think during college and it was so brilliantly whacky, I had been meaning to watch some of his other films and also twin peaks but If anyone knows me I often put things on back burners so I never got round to it.

I was aware of his legacy and how influential he is to the film and tv world, a huge loss for the industry, RIP David Lynch :(

Was literally watching a video about Twin Peaks and heard the news minutes later.

Woefully ignorant of much of his filmography, but the aforementioned show (and film) is one of my favourite things ever. Lynch's own character manages to be one of the best parts of it against some stacked competition, his loud voice lives rent free in my head. Will be greatly missed.

Oh wow I mentioned David Lynch just a few days ago in Ethel Cain’s thread D:

Finally got around to Mulholland Drive last year and loved it, RIP 💔

Such sad news, I've just started going through Twin Peaks and getting immersed in the universe and am almost at the revival part, despite the obvious flaws that started to show in the second season, it's still overall a great series and it's surreal moments must've really been startling at the time. I'm really eager to see the revival and him not being confined by the 1990s cable rules.

There are still a lot of his films I need to check out, but the ones I know I'm very into, Mulholland Drive in particular had me thinking for days after seeing it. He certainly never gave viewers easy answers which I always love in a filmmaker.

RIP, a great loss to the film world </3

Mulholland Drive is defo a highlight for me

One of my favourite directors of all time. Eraserhead, Elephant Man, Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet and even Dune (which he disowned) are all very special to me.

In 1990 he re-wrote the rules on tv and did it again in 2017.

A true genius

I must admit, I am not familiar with his filmography at all. I've heard of his work, but I don't think I've actually seen a single one of them! I need to rectify that asap. I saw a very brief clip from 'Lost Highway' on Twitter today and I was really intrigued by the scene they shared! I will probably watch that first!

Very sad news though. R.I.P.

Lost Highway is my fav from him probably, just the soundtrack alone is worth watching

he did so many masterpieces, love Blue Velvet, Lost Highwy, Mulholland Drive

RIP
