It sounds so dated, boring and lacks anything.

 

It sounds like something an unsigned X-Factor contestant would release.

 

I wasnt brave enough to say it bc i love perrie and i dont want her to feel bad for the music she obviously loves to put out so if shes happy i'm happy for her

 

But yeah this is the first song of hers that just made me listen for one single time and i dont have the urge to go back and relisten every other track from her i gave a second chance atleast but this aint it at all sorry

 

But tbf most of the valentines day releases so far has been kinda dissapointing for me idk why they all sound so soft but it was the purpose of this day i guess

After listening to this this morning (and a half asleep skim through the song last night) this pretty much sums up my feelings towards this^*.

 

In its current form, it's just a bit nondescript... The production lacks any kind of get up and go, which could probably be partly forgiven if Perrie's vocals were on point - to me really feels like the adlibs that were added to 'You Go Your Way' should have gone towards the end of this one. 😂 It just very much has a feel of not being the final version; with a good amount of steering/tweaking, it has the potential to Perrie's 'Fantasy' (obvz Mariah's, not JADE's...)!

 

^{* I've striked through the bits I don't agree with: it's not my favourite one she's released yet, and I don't think it would ever be completely for me, even if it did feel like it was the final version...}

 

So far, for me, I would rank the tracks:

 

The Good

01 | Christmas Magic (9/10 - all the effort was placed into this!)

 

The Decent

02 | You Go Your Way (7/10 - catchy and fun, but it gets repetitive waaaay before it finishes!)

03 | Forget About Us (7/10 - feels the most unjustly criticised to me, I think it's a good song - maybe not solo-launchpad quality though!)

 

The Salvageable (both of these feel unfinished, but they have qualities somewhere...)

04 | Me, Myself & You (5/10)

05 | Rollercoaster (4/10)

 

The Dreadful

06 | Tears (1/10 - I can't see how any amount of tweaking would make this song any good: I wouldn't have even made it a B-side, and scrapped it before anyone had a chance to hear it, let alone made it a single! 🙈 [Sorry if you ever read this Perrie! This one's just not for me... 🙈])

Another poor effort. It’s such a shame as Perire has such an incredible voice but she’s been wasted. I don’t see her ever having a hit. :(

Her album is never gonna see the light.

This is very catchy. I've had it stuck in my head a lot.

COME ON PERRIE! I actually wouldn't be mad at her giving us a few covers (her cover of 'Die With A Smile' is doing pretty well for a live lounge) and collabs. But it's going to be annoying if UNA HEALY got a solo album but Perrie doesn't... (I still think we'll get a solo album from each of the girls at some point in their careers :lol:)

She needs to jump on some DJ collabs whilst she is re-working this whole album.

I’m just echoing others but her material is so frustrating when we know just what she’s capable of.

 

I feel for her I really do but it’s just very directionless and lacking in personality. I think she’s better than going down the featured artist on DJ tracks but at least that could get her some chart success but honestly all she needs is just that one song to totally turn things around but I’m kinda doubtful of an album from her at this point.

 

I can see her getting a west end role and having major success in that industry if that’s something she’d be interested in but I don’t see her as a chart star as soloist.

That one song needs to come quickly as interest in her solo wise is fading fast, i think do a feature that would ideally do well and follow that straight up with a song solo song and then things could turn but i dont see it happening.

I don't think there's any turning it around now.
