March 19Mar 19 The label have lost their faith... It's an uphill battle for her sadly. She's hasn't got on any of the necessary Spotify playlists since The Motto and I can't see that changing, especially with Cirkut no longer producing for her...

March 21Mar 21 Gutted this has done nothing for Ava. Don’t know if it is playlist support or a lack of UK promo, but it does feel like her chart career is over. 😭
March 23Mar 23 When 'Sweet But Psycho' hit #1 I was convinced she was going to be the next big pop girl. By rights she really should have at least a Tate McRae-size career by this point, so I don't really know what's gone wrong for her. The songs, while mostly pretty good, maybe just haven't been edgy enough? Edited March 23Mar 23 by Mangø
March 23Mar 23 I thought she'd established a pretty decent footing around My Head & My Heart time, but it just wasn't meant to be. I think releasing Who's Laughing Now when Born to the Night was right there was a pretty major error.I'll never understand why Maybe You're the Problem wasn't a hit, it had everything going for it but garnering any support from anywhere. Since then she's basically been a busted flush and then became a cheap self-parody.
March 23Mar 23 When she released Sweet but Psycho I really thought she was gonna be a one-hit wonder, too much Gaga copycat. Then she had some hits but abusing the samples, so in a way she was kinda digging her own grave, you cannot depend 100% on samples. Now with Circuit gone, Madison Beer gone, I even wonder if she's gonna release album 3....
March 23Mar 23 You mean Madison Love, not Madison Beer! Funnily enough none of the Madison Love penned tracks on Diamonds & Dancefloors were selected to be singles, despite her having a hand in Kings & Queens, Torn, Who's Laughing Now, Salt, Sweet But Psycho and My Head & My Heart from Heaven & Hell.Cirkut and Madison Love may be out of the picture now, but it's not like Ava's devoid of talented people working with her, for instance Lost Your Faith is mixed/engineered by Serban Ghenea.I think it's sadly just the case with her that for whatever reason, the second album singles just didn't catch on / didn't garner great support, so it created diminishing returns. That's not the easiest thing to bounce back from.I don't think she's ever really been the artist to attract a highly devoted and widespread fanbase. I would say her early success was largely driven by her songs reaching the masses of casuals. That's just my impression!
