It will be interesting to see what sound her next single has, while the giver done ok it definitely didnt connect with people in the same way as many of her other songs did.

I find it mad how this is the only new thing she's released in a year and a half. I know singles from the previous album ended up taking off and everything but still.

And why does she have such an aversion to doing music videos? Considering she's quite a visual artist it's a bit baffling.

Im sure her new album must also be ready, i find it strange that good luck babe will be part of the next album when i think most of us will associate it forever with the the rise and fall era, when she released good luck babe id love to know what the next planned move was as that song opened the door for everything to take off. There is a stark difference in good luck babe and the giver so i do think its possible that anything she had recorded for the follow up album may have changed.

Maybe they will re release the rise and fall first with some added songs including good luck babe and then launch the new album a few months after.

I feel like the hype around her from around a year ago has started to fade a little. It's a shame an album wasn't forthcoming this year.

Its gonna be interesting to see how album 2 does, like she probably have the power to have longevity with it like TRAFOAMP

It has faded a little but I don't think it'd take much to ramp it back up again, if that makes sense? I think all it would take is one big single and I think a TikTok crowd would still be very receptive to whatever comes next. She's captured a good audience so far that I don't think are ready to let go just yet.

Besides, Pink Pony Club is still being hammered EVERYWHERE that I think that's made up for any of the mild underperformances that have come after (which were both still hits, at the end of the day).

I agree thats its faded a bit but like you said it wouldnt take much to rev it up again, its a shame really as i think the subway is great and while its done well it deserves to be doing better in the level pink pony club did.

Yeah but she would have to release a properly good single to get the hype back to the level it was - more like The Subway and less like The Giver!

I still think The Giver destroys The Subway.

Yeah I don't think there's too much of a difference in quality between them but the popular opinion is definitely that The Subway >>> The Giver!

I'm not so sure the hype has faded as such, but she's employing quite a bizarre strategy with her releases.
