Quick recovery for the legacy act 😆 Nothing anymore should be written off on day one or two, or even week one or two. There is a new status quo going on in terms of how long it takes people to adapt

Just wanna say that while the urge to be a prophet of doom is at an all time high, often times things aren't as good or bad as they seem. Just go to the end of the June 2021 streaming thread and see a

Azizam dropped to 87 globally on Spotify

Janet's Someone to Call My Lover debuts on US Spotify today. We love a GOOD viral hit.

It's been going viral the last couple weeks, would love to see it chart in the UK! Janet's streams are honestly quite shocking for her discography - her songs should be much higher! Hoping "Someone to Call My Lover" going viral will increase streams/interest in the rest of her catalogue!

Shame to see Miley not back in the top 200. Hoping Monday's update she will be when newer songs tend to rise. On the plus side she's up to a new peak of #38 on Apple and #56 on Amazon!

Ed is also up to a new peak of #11 on Amazon and #2 on Apple!

Azizam has to smash! It’s literally the perfect spring into summer song! I’m obsessed.

I’m sure it’ll start climbing Spotify over the coming days the fact it held is a good sign.

It will do even if he doesn't ever get to number 1 with it it is an infectious track that'll linger for a while

Holding firm on a Sunday is a good sign. Hopefully Ed will get back up and it's just the usual new process of the public taking their time to latch on to new stuff.

Have to say that I quite like Azizam, it's not quite as good as Shivers but probably beats most of his other singles for me.

yes for Janet's Someone to call my lover becoming a viral hit,

it's actually the last great single she released

Empire of the Sun resurgence!!

11 hours ago, Steve201 said:

Why is there two Empire of the Sun tracks in the top 100?

I think they've both been consistently popular, I always see them being used on people's social media stories and stuff.

what is absolutely insane is how poorly Ed is doing in the US, I was doing a search for Azizam in the US Spotify top 200 and nothing came out and couldn't understand but Azizam has done a 60-145-OUT in the US. And that's with him doing US promo for the song already and being on late night shows etc

at least Sleep Token held up better in the US, did 3-9-13... Miley did 26-98-93, not good but at least she's there

“Azizam” having fewer plays on its 3rd day than 2018 song “All The Stars” (2 months after the Super Bowl boost) is pretty wild. That doesn’t mean it won’t recover or be a big hit; it’s more a reflection of how things are in 2025.

I think it's the tiktok generation not giving a damn about big name comebacks. and looks like it's even worse in the US.

by the way, who's #1 in the US? Drake-Nokia :/ cos he's viral once again, hard to eradicate the very foundation of bad music :)

These comparisons are pretty weird I'd say. It kinda pointless to compare artist like Ed to a new band breaking through (Sleep Token).

The only relevant comparisons are the comparisons to artists older songs and previous chart success, and while Ed has underperformed in that sense too, he hasn't been in top ten in the US Hot 100 since Shivers anyway. Not going top ten now isn't really news.

Same with Miley. Like I wrote earlier, Flowers is a huge outlier in her recent discography. Exclude that, and her solo singles this decade have charted everywhere from 8 to 74.

But thats exactly what the comparison wanted to Show, how people only care about whats on tiktok

This is Mileys lead for her new album her proper comeback after the gigantic Flowers and no One cares

It’ll just depend who it is. Flowers aside Miley was not a world beater streaming wise
