In other words, it's about as likely to get it right as Cody is to refrain from predicting himself to DNQ in any given contest. Never a zero chance but not very likely either.

RontBet thoughts (not AI). Close odds at the top as I don't see anything running away with it and think it will be close. Will just do 25/1 and up but there are several others not mentioned that sound

So my predictions are partly based on the listen through - both Mae & Beth Ditto songs received lukewarm receptions

Imagine how different the results would be if we all had to submit full semi ranks, and first got 27 points, all the way down to 1 point for last. All those songs eternally stranded in 11th in every vote would suddenly be safe, whereas the polarising stuff would have a much harder time (which is exactly why we don't do that, people would send very safe stuff that everyone would probably rank at least middle).

Zanmatony are ready to welcome all the poor misfortunate souls to a DNQ party hosted by yours truly at a time to be confirmed!

Thera & Herbilore will be there! Try to ERASE us!

This would be interesting - I would predict that songs that receive a small number of high votes to qualify (normally alt bloc songs) would start appearing lower in the average list.

But that’s not always the best indication, especially since majority of the people there lean more towards alternative/rock/dance/techno, and Brer hates pure pop!!!

Oooh so I can qualify then?

Agreed, I find the listenthroughs to often be a reliable barometer for what will do well with the dance/alt side and the people in the middle, but for pop it's not reliable at all. Songs that have been fully criticised or recieved a wall of 'mid' or tumbleweed reactions have gone on top be safely top ten in the final.

i'm loving the chaotic energy of this thread 😭

Only the people of Ajanaeda can evoke such chaos. Everyone wants to be on their guest list by tomorrow night!

This is what I was going to add. If the electronic/alternative/rock songs get a lukewarm reaction, then it is time to worry — but pop, unless it has obvious crossover appeal, the listenthrough is not reliable.

I usually find if @Cody Buckley is there and likes something pop after everyone else has called it mid or basic — it's qualifying brat

Kathaldazia seems more likely a semi winner than a DNQ imo! Especially which so many of the dance bloc present.

Gosh I hope you right. I feel like our obscure, dreamy 6am trance gem might get lost among the familiar names & hard-hitting techno :(

As one who's had a few entries with many votes of relatively low average scores (e.g. Echoberyl had the joint 4th most votes in its final but finished 16th; ACRAZE finished with 35 votes, the most in its final and 5th most of all of 2023 but finished 4th), I think I'd like this idea. Wonder if Fat Dog would have still won though!

The real question everyone should be asking is... who is the dark horse of the competition this month?
