Posted May 9May 9 Back in March 2009, I was walking home from school with my sister and a few of our friends when my sister played "Love Story" on her iPod. I asked her who she was listening to because I liked the sound of the song. She told me Taylor's name and the name of the song. When we arrived back home, I immediately went to my room to go on my laptop and listen to it. That's the first time I've ever heard a Taylor Swift song. She was already known in the USA a couple of years prior to this. This was the first Taylor song most British people like myself knew. What was the first Taylor song you've ever heard? Do you also remember when/how you heard it?
May 14May 14 'Love Story' for me too in early 2009 and I'm pretty sure my first listen of it would've been on the chart show! I do remember a friend being obsessed with it at the time though and trying to shoehorn it into a presentation we did.
May 14May 14 I think it was 'Teardrops On My Guitar' when someone on here posted about it. I thought it was dreadful and I still do.Then I heard 'Love Story' as it was about to be released here, I thought it was dreadful and still do.
May 14May 14 Love story. Didn't not like it at the time but was firmly team kelly and was rooting for her to get a number oneYears later love story is definitely the far superior song , (not that MLWSWY isn't still a great song)
May 15May 15 None other than 'Tim McGraw'! I definitely heard it on the radio but can't remember exactly where I was or when.
