Robbie Williams he chose a fan to sing "She's the One" and his reaction ended up stealing the moment Carolina could barely speak of the excitement when the Briton approached her in the audience. Laughing, Robbie He guided her so that she could follow the dynamic and then sang an excerpt from "She's the One". Noticing that she was next to her son, she even improvised part of the lyrics with a "it's your mom", unleashing even more tears and hugs in one of the closest encounters of the night.

Nice to see lots of youngsters at the barrier there. We noticed how many men there were in the audience last Saturday - way more than 20 years ago

Robbie Williams' eventful passage through Lima

After the chaos at the exit of their first concert in Lima and the cancellation of the second show, they announced the rescheduling still without a definite date.

Until Thursday afternoon, thousands were heading to San Miguel for Robbie Williams' second concert in Lima. It was the first confirmed date that sold out tickets for months, but was canceled the same day by the district municipality after the chaos generated on Wednesday night.

When leaving Arena 1 (also closed), the more than 20,000 people who attended the British star's show could not use the Belén bridge because it had been closed without further explanation. As an option, the Costa Verde was temporarily blocked to allow the public to move along the slopes and go up to Bertolotto, where also on the way were installed the sellers of polo shirts, posters and photographs of the Britpop figure.

Perhaps only for those who lived in San Miguel, Magdalena or were heading to Avenida Brasil, the long journey was not so different from other events. However, apparently, there was not enough security to prevent hundreds of other people from crossing the meshes and climbing the cliff of the Costa Verde towards the boardwalk. Others waited for the ATU buses.

On Thursday afternoon, photographs by a team from La República showed the Belén bridge in poor condition, which is presumed to have been the reason for its closure. "Well closed," said journalist Marco Sifuentes on his program. However, in the statement from the Municipality of San Miguel they do not explain the reason for the closure of that access or talk about the state of the bridge, but they blame the organization for the "deficiencies in the evacuation routes."

Another of the biggest errors was the late statement from the organizing company. One Entertainment announced the rescheduling just after 8 p.m. According to what was said by the team that was in the afternoon at Arena 1, they were doing everything possible for the concert to take place, but the municipality informed the press that the notified observations had not been regulated.

On Thursday, before 8:00 p.m., Robbie Williams left the hotel where he was staying and sang Angels to his fans. On Friday, as he left for Chile, he said: "I'm going to try to come back very soon and make up for them. Yesterday was horrible for everyone, but, above all, it was horrible for you. I am very sorry that we could not have that moment. Now I promise you that I will come back and that we will have that moment together."

Regardless of what happened, which has already gone around the world, the organization of the event confirmed on Friday that the artist is willing to return. "As is public knowledge, Robbie Williams' concert, scheduled for Thursday, September 24, could not take place as a result of the closure of the venue ordered by the Municipality of San Miguel. We appreciate the willingness of the artist and his team, with whom we have been coordinating the rescheduling of the concert in a new venue that guarantees its realization."

The concert

Robbie Williams sang for the first time in Peru on Wednesday night. It was an added date to his tour because the first one had sold out. For an hour and a half he confirmed that he is still a great singer and a showman.

Outside Arena 1, some posed with a replica of the character from the biopic Better Man. There was no street commerce near the access doors, but there were resellers. A brand of soft drinks gave away drinks to the attendees and without stopping to address the chaotic Lima traffic, until that moment, pedestrian access was orderly.

The concert was opened by the British band The Lottery Winners. Williams took a few minutes and went on stage at around 9:20 p.m. She sang almost the same setlist so far on her world tour and started with the song Let Me Entertain You. Why doesn't he come earlier?" he said at Arena 1.

Before singing Let Love Be Your Energy, the 52-year-old singer joked and gave a nod to the passage of time. "It's not for the glory, not for the money, it's because I have four children and I have to leave the house."

Like his film, the concert was a review of his life with a rise and fall of emotions in 20 songs. He spent time with his family, with figures projected on screens as he sang "Love My Life." Before I had a family I was lost." Then followed Supreme, an acoustic part, the cover of Wonderwall, Better Man, Millennium, verses of We Are the Champions, Hey Jude and, towards the end, he performed My Way.

Robbie Williams showed that his voice is still intact and his energy the same. He spoke to the audience, went down to be photographed with the front rows and brought a fan on stage with whom he sang She's the One.

The quality of the artist who came out to sing to the public that was bewildered waiting for him outside the Miraflores hotel is not in dispute. We hope that the organization and the city can meet expectations. He has promised to return.

  • Pedestrian access. The bridge that was closed has cracks. The organizer has not given her version of the closure.

A showman from another planet: Robbie Williams threw the house out of the window and showed off on his return to Chile

After eight years of waiting, the Briton returned to Santiago to star in a night full of anthems, humor and complicity with the audience that came to the Bicentennial Stadium in La Florida.

We had to wait... and quite a lot. From the early hours of this Sunday, September 27, Robbie Williams' fans began to arrive in the vicinity of the Bicentennial Stadium in La Florida. It was not minor. Eight years had passed since the Briton's last visit to Chile and, when night finally fell, it was clear that the wait had not been in vain.

At 9:00 p.m., like a true English clock, the lights went out and Robbie Williams appeared on stage to do exactly what he had promised: entertain as much as he could.

"Let Me Entertain You" was in charge of opening a day that quickly took the form of a Britpop party, with an audience that had been waiting for years to sing his songs in front of him again.

And the repertoire did not give much room to breathe. "Rock DJ", "Supreme", "Better Man", "Kids", "She's the One" and "Feel" were chained together a collection of classics that are part of the imagination of several generations.

A ritual of entertainment

Robbie Williams, in addition, was particularly close to the Chilean public, talking, joking and taking advantage of each space to interact with those who came to La Florida.

One of the moments that quickly won the spotlight was whenthe singer appeared wearing the La Roja shirt. A simple gesture that was enough to further ignite an audience that was already completely devoted to the show.

There was also room for one of the most recognizable elements of his current artistic stage: chimpanzees. The animals that star in much of the imagery of "Better Man" were represented on T-shirts, posters and different elements worn by the fans themselves, connecting the film with the musical history that Robbie Williams was building during the night.

Britpop triumphed

But if there is one thing that characterizes the former Take That, it is his ability to turn a concert into something much bigger than a succession of songs. In one of the most particular segments of the night, the Briton had the pleasure of going through fragments of popular songs, playing with the audience and going through such recognizable titles as "Hey Jude", "YMCA", "We Will Rock You" and "Can't Stop", among others.

Nostalgia also had its place. Robbie Williams gave a nod to Frank Sinatra through "New York, New York" and "My Way," connecting his own repertoire to a tradition of great performers and songs that have transcended generations.

And, of course, Oasis could not be missing. In the midst of that old Britpop rivalry that he nurtured for years, the Briton performed "Wonderwall", one of the most recognizable anthems of the Manchester band. And when it was time to close, the showman chose "Angels". It could not be otherwise.

Eight years after his last visit, Robbie Williams met Chile again and turned the Bicentennial of La Florida into a huge dance floor, karaoke and celebration. A night of classics, excitement and, above all, Britpop.

Robbie Williams' tremendous night in Chile

Robbie Williams Surprises Buenos Aires Fans With Impromptu Street Concert Ahead of First Argentina Shows in 20 Years

Robbie Williams gave a group of fans in Buenos Aires an unexpected warm-up for his long-awaited return to Argentine stages with an impromptu performance outside his hotel.

On Tuesday evening, Williams emerged from the Faena Hotel in Buenos Aires’ Puerto Madero neighborhood to greet a group of roughly 30 to 40 fans who had gathered outside. After spending several minutes talking and taking photos with them, the British singer returned with his guitarist and treated the crowd to a four-song acoustic performance.

The surprise comes less than a week after Williams staged a similar impromptu performance outside his hotel in Lima, Peru. After his September 24th concert was canceled due to safety issues at the venue, he met disappointed fans outside his hotel and led them in a rendition of “Angels.”

Williams is now preparing to play three sold-out concerts at Buenos Aires’ Movistar Arena on October 1st, 2nd, and 4th, marking his first performances in Argentina in 20 years.

The singer last took the stage in the country with two concerts at River Plate Stadium in October 2006. He was scheduled to return in 2018 as a headliner for Personal Fest, but severe weather forced organizers to cancel the festival’s opening day.

At the time, Williams addressed fans from his Buenos Aires hotel, saying he was “absolutely devastated” and emphasizing that the cancellation was outside his control. “We’ll try to organize ourselves to come back,” he said. The performance was never rescheduled.

Look for deals and get tickets to sold-out shows here (where fans can save $20 on their first order of $200 or more with promo code CONSEQUENCE20 at checkout).
