  • I went on the gig on Friday 6h in Emirates! It was so cool! Robbie was fantastic and I really loved the C stage in the general admission. He was like 10m away :D

Nice to see lots of youngsters at the barrier there. We noticed how many men there were in the audience last Saturday - way more than 20 years ago

I am positive surprised how full the stadiums have been until now. Even Paris is sold out and France has never been his core audience

Robbie Williams gets the crowd on its feet ahead of the race that stops a nation

Global superstar Robbie Williams has kicked off the Melbourne Cup today, and there’s still more to come!

The two-time Grammy nominee, 52, led the biggest pre-Cup performance ever staged at Flemington Racecourse, beginning with his smash hit Feel.

What a SHOWMAN. Getty

Dressed in a bedazzled suit with horses on it (very fitting), Williams began with a quick check of his fly (yes, it was up) before joining a group of dancers dressed in white, with some very impressive umbrella choreography.

He then moved straight into eternal banger Rock DJ, which certainly got the crowd on its feet.

It’s time to move your body, indeed!

Williams then took to serenading the actual Melbourne Cup trophy with Angels.

By the time the chorus hit, the entire crowd joined him in singing EVERY SINGLE WORD, champagne flutes and phones in the air.

There were even flashlights raised in the nine.com.au office.

He ended the set with THE song to get everyone hyped for the main event – Let Me Entertain You!

He did just that, in classic Robbie style.

It was everything you could want from a Robbie Williams performance – flamboyant, pure charisma and with many, many cheeky moments.

And that was supposed to be the warm-up? What an act to follow.

Robbie Williams is the kind of guy who sings when he’s winning. He won big at the 2026 Melbourne Cup on Tuesday (Nov. 3), where he performed a mini-set for the almost-100,000 sports fans gathered at this race that stops a nation.

On a sunny spring day, the former Take That star had the spotlight all for himself as the cameras followed his stroll around Flemington Racecourse in a bedazzled suit, emblazoned with horses, for his opening number, “Feel.”

With support from a colorful cast of dancers, musicians and a marching band, the British pop artist then took to a stage for “Rock DJ,” got up close with the Cup during a performance of “Angels,” and closed things out in the round with “Let Me Entertain You.”

After the race, one of the premier events on Australia’s sporting calendar, Robbie delivered a full set at The Elms Live Stage, which included covers of hits by Oasis, Midnight Oil, Shania Twain, INXS and others.
