I was ready for that. 😬

  • Well done on remembering Charlie Brown & Elyar Fox! Although the latter is more in the Bieber/Maynard field. And Arizona Zervas is not like the rest imo, he's more akin to Post Malone.

Well now it's just a list of solo male artists who have appeared in the chart.

Aside from BENEE, who is female!

You see it's been so long I couldn't remember!

This is definitely just becoming a list of any solo male artist in the charts in the last ~15 years...! And it's why the list in the first post already bothered me a bit, because it's ultimately just a list of male artists who have had big hits since Ed Sheeran arrived, whether they're any similar to him or not (and, I mean, Ed's definitely dabbled in a few different genres so it's probably quite easy to make comparisons).

Sam Fender?

SAM FENDER!!!???

Be gone with you, @awardinary !!! 😉😂

One of the reasons I got so into Sam Fender was that I expected him to be like this but then he completely surprised me with loads of Springsteen-esque songs about austerity and life in the North East. Gotta admit, I completely presumed he'd be one of the beige ones when he first emerged back in 2018. But then I heard Dead Boys!

Again, didn't mean to pee anybody off but it certainly seems to have inspired a fun debate!

Ready for some missiles to be fired in my direction for these names! 😄

I have tried and tried to like that Sombr song but turns out it was just too whiny for me. Also put a lot of effort into getting Djo but just not clicking!

It ain't going away, there'll be two or three big ones every year for the rest of our lives! Some will have multiple hits and long careers, others won't.
