The entire top 6 albums on Apple Music are all new releases (half of being brits):

  1. ‘American Heart’ by Benson Boon

  2. ‘Olamidé’ by Omalide

  3. ‘hopefully !’ by Loyle Carter

  4. ‘I quit’ by Haim

  5. ‘Idols’ by YungBlud

  6. ‘When the Dust Settles’ by K-Trap

Will be an interesting battle in the albums this week

Lola Young didn’t make the top 200 bizarre it’s a catchy song but it might breakthrough as time goes on.

Dior challenging for #1 for sure

PB at 106 bit of a low debut for jade considering her track run

DRIVE 156 to be expected his soundtrack singles are very hit and miss chart wise

Nice impact from Sam and Olivia, would be top 10 if combined! Fred Again top 5 is also good to see (and Muse at 109!)

Yeah, her weakest single will get a second week at number 1. I wish it was Sam/Dior but it’s not happening (especially with the no Spotify support for Sam)

Disappointing for Jade actually pretty gutted as Plastic Box is SO GOOD!

Benson is a shock! I expected a few tracks would enter the top 200 at least

People might not even know or care that Benson has a new album out. He has been releasing new music / promoting singles constantly so an album hardly makes a difference at this point.

Momma Song didn't enter the top 200 a few weeks ago. Only the focus track was a new entry on Spotify when his last album was released (Cry was new at #142, so Mr Electric Blue has outdone that).

There's been more focus on selling physicals - last time round he didn't even have the CD in week 1 - so it'll surely do better on that front but otherwise the streaming is probably not majorly different.

I guess he just seems way bigger this time around. I find it bizarre that he hasn't done any signed bundles or fan bundles...I would of thought these would have sold really well.

His label don't really seem to commit to the multi-formatting and signed copies unfortunately, I've noticed it with other artists too!

Lol at people pretending they all Knew Pink Pony in 2020, 3 people knew it before last year lol at least its an anthem and a great song so dont mind how long it stays unlike the Ordinary anti-anthem

Wonder when people rediscovered Summer of 69, cos Nobody cared when it originally came out in the 80s, the UK were bizarrely slow in appreciating Bryan until 91

Just want to note that the song actually had 130,000 listeners on last.fm by the time "Good Luck, Babe!" was released, more than 10% of its current total, which is not too shabby.

Last week Sabrina was 643,518 this week 523,199 so clearly it’s going to be around 44-47k sales which Sam Fender could get if it took off or some others

At least a couple dozen people on this website (including me) definitely did know it in 2020 because it was sent to the BuzzJack Song Contest shortly after its original release x
