Each week, 8 new releases are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner which will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter of the year, and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2025.

Last week's results:

Twenty One Pilots - The Contract [5]

Biffy Clyro - A Little Love [3]

All Time Low - SUCKERPUNCH [1]

Japanese Breakfast - My Baby (Got Nothing At All) [1]

Nova Twins - Anxiety [1]

David Byrne - Everybody Laughs [0]

Kevin Abstract & Dominic Fike - Geezer [0]

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Aerodynamic [0]

What a week for new releases! Not even enough room to include The Black Keys, Sam Fender, YUNGBLUD, The Hives and others! ☹️

FYI sombr appears in both Pop and Indie polls this week, which isn't an issue as we know there is some crossover from time to time.

Lola easily! I think it’s already my favourite song of the year! I’m obsessed! Really strong week though! So many great songs

My personal rankings for Week 25;

  1. Muse – Unravelling

  2. Lorde – Hammer

  3. sombr – we never dated

  4. Miles Kane – Love Is Cruel

  5. HAIM – All over me

  6. Sydney Minsky Sargeant – I Don't Wanna

  7. Lola Young – Not Like That Anymore

  8. CMAT – The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station

Muse, the only one for me.

Added to playlists this week -

Hot Milk - The American Machine

The Molotovs - Today's Gonna Be Our Day

Dinosaur Pile Up - Sick of Being Down

Several OK songs but voted for Miles Kane, think most of these artists have had better recently.

Voted for Lorde!

I enjoyed some HAIM album tracks this week like 'Million Years' and 'Spinning' but the focus track wasn't as standout for me
