Lewis up to #15

#33 on Amazon

Up to #21 on Amazon. Just saw his Glastonbury performances pretty huge crowd so I think it’d even beat Ordinary this week if it wasn’t ACR

Spotify YTD at the Half Way Point

Ordinary now at #1 and unlikely to be toppled I'd imagine, older songs starting to make their way up the chart as hits from the start of the year fall back.

Anxiety is a big loser on Spotify compared to the OCC list sitting at only #56 here.

Like Him has now dropped out the weekly Spotify chart so See You Again is now the highest song not on the OCC list at #63 (closely followed by 505 at #64).

As always, any questions please ask.

Which oldies (older than 2024) are in the Spotify YTD but not the OCC YTD? Thanks

In the top 100:

#63 Tyler, The Creator feat. Kali Uchis - See You Again

#64 Arctic Monkeys - 505

#67 Gorillaz feat. De La Soul - Feel Good Inc.

#74 Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag

#77 Declan McKenna - Brazil

#80 Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop

#82 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton - Can't Hold Us

#84 Stereophonics - Dakota

#87 Arctic Monkeys - I Wanna Be Yours

#88 Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?

#89 Nelly Furtado feat. Timbaland - Promiscuous

#91 OneRepublic - Counting Stars

#92 Kings of Leon - Use Somebody

#94 The Kooks - She Moves in Her Own Way

#98 The Cranberries - Linger

#99 The Neighbourhood - Sweater Weather

#100 Zach Bryan feat. Kacey Musgraves - I Remember Everything

Finally get rid of one mediocre male singer songwriter, just for another one to come along and terrorise us immediately after.

Gross.

Ah so there's a lot 😂 No telling what will happen on the official YTD from this. Still helpful for estimating the indie/rock/hip hop sales though, thanks for sharing

No worries - a lot of these songs probably aren’t in the “actual” top 100 but have been advantaged by having been on the chart for almost every week whereas hits from this year which have now dropped out the weekly chart are no longer getting any credit, even if they’re doing 450k a week for example, so are dropping harder than is maybe representative of their actual popularity.

For the record from the list I shared, I see four possible contenders for the OCC YTD:

505

Dakota

Counting Stars

I Remember Everything

I wouldn’t consider any of the rest a threat as it stands

Apple

8 Lewis - Survive

86 Lorde - Shapeshifter

91 Lorde - Hammer

118 J Hus & Asake - Gold

129 Lorde - Man of the year

174 Lorde - Favourite Daughter

194 Lorde - Current Affairs

surprised On My Mind is nowhere to be found on Apple...

on Amazon:

15 Lewis - Survive

Lewis now up to #5 on Apple

At least Lewis is likeable and not peddling Mormon music to the masses.

Survive is definitely a better song than ordinary though, its actually growing on me

Can Lewis’s old stuff be reset or is it too late? His old songs are doing pretty well atm

Anything from his second album can and everything from his first apart from Someone You Loved can
