Unfortunately the one time he did this year I lost £50. Guess if Chris Brown can still have a career I should've expected people to still embrace the Drizzler...

Biography

KPop Demon Hunters is a 2025 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and released by Netflix. It was directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, from a screenplay by Kang, Appelhans, and Hannah McMechan and Danya Jimenez, based on a story conceived by Kang. The film stars the voices of Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Lee Byung-hun. It follows a fictional K-pop girl group, Huntr/x, who lead double lives as demon hunters; they face off against a rival boy band, the Saja Boys, whose members are secretly demons. KPop Demon Hunters originated from Kang's desire to create a story inspired by her Korean heritage, drawing on elements of mythology, demonology, and K-pop to craft a visually distinct and culturally rooted film. The film was reported to be in production at Sony Pictures Animation by March 2021, with the full creative team attached. The film was animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks and was stylistically influenced by concert lighting, editorial photography, and music videos as well as anime and Korean dramas. The soundtrack features original songs by several talents, and a score composed by Marcelo Zarvos. KPop Demon Hunters was released on June 20, 2025, on Netflix, to positive reviews, with praise for its animation, visual style, voice acting, humor, and music. - Wikipedia

I don't have any plans to watch that film myself so I'm kinda completely out of the loop when it comes to the film's success.

Biography

Lola Young is an R&B-rooted, stylistically dynamic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist whose combination of smoky vocals and mature songwriting has prompted comparisons to Amy Winehouse and Adele. Although the South East London native's 2019 debut, the Intro EP, made a significant impression, she experienced her true breakout in 2021. Her atmospheric cover of "Together in Electric Dreams" soundtracked John Lewis & Partners' annual Christmas advertising campaign that year, and she was also shortlisted for the 2022 BRITs Rising Star category, a distinction that affirmed her individuality. Following a handful of singles, including "So Sorry" and "Stream of Consciousness," Young issued her debut album, 2023's My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely. This Wasn't Meant for You Anyway followed quickly in 2024. - Apple Music

Biography

PinkPantheress is reviving Y2K for a new generation. Her sugary yet wistful pop ripples with old-school samples and styles ranging from UK dance to R&B to pop-punk, making her a versatile artist who already counts Ice Spice, Troye Sivan, Skrillex, Mura Masa, and Kaytranada among her collaborators. Before she became a pop phenomenon, the London-based singer-songwriter and producer (born in 2001 in Bath, England) spent her free time sharing on social media the songs she’d made while studying at university. Clips of early singles like 2021’s “Pain,” “Break It Off,” and “Just for me” went viral and hit the UK Singles Chart in the lead-up to her debut mixtape, to hell with it, later that year. Her 2023 single with Ice Spice, “Boy’s a liar, Pt. 2,” exploded internationally, marking her first Top 10 hit. PinkPantheress followed it with a feature on the Barbie soundtrack and her official debut LP, Heaven Knows. - Apple Music

Biography

Born and bred in London, DJ/Producer Max Dean is an artist on an undeniably impressive trajectory. While still relatively juvenile in his tenure, Max’s seasoned knowledge of the house music space and homage to the culture it stands upon have already shown an excitingly mature side to one of the industry’s most sought-after rising talents. Inspired by retro sounds that build the foundations of his grove-focused underground signature, Max’s appetite for bouncy drum work, swinging rhythms, and catchy basslines has quickly captured the attention of some of the industry’s best-known labels. Max’s influence on the scene continues to blossom. From the highs of 2022, which saw unwavering support from industry heavyweights and commendable chart success for landmark releases on Hottrax, and many more, to the unstoppable cadence of 2023, in which Max scaled new heights with music on Solid Grooves Raw, Eastenderz, Box Red and even his label, neXup. Looking at the last 12 months in more detail, Max has continued to aim upward and excel within the electronic dance space with his work. Perhaps most impressively, adding even more weight to the impressive accolades achieved in years passed and owing to some of his best studio productions to date. Outside the studio, Max remains entrenched at the forefront of club culture in the UK and Europe. He has stayed in high demand internationally since launching his neXup brand, which has become just as successful as a record label as an event brand. - Spotify
