I think it's fair to say Bieber just isn't performing exceptionally well, and that's being reflected.Actually, if the Official Chart Company counted all the streams equally, the hit studio albums would benefit more than the GHs and the latter would probably chart lower than they do now as the current hits would give advantage to studio albums. It's pretty hopeless without three decent streaming hits for studio albums like we saw with Beyoncé's latest for instance: a big #1 hit (Texas Hold 'em) but only 7 weeks in top 20 for the album because the streams of that one hit didn't really count.
Tuesday at 12:572 days don't think so, it would continue benefitting GH too. The issue with the Gh is the double counting, not that.regarding Beyonce, it's her own fault really. She's the one that abandoned the album on release date. Same as Radical optimism and many others.
Tuesday at 13:192 days Including all the streams feels like stat padding for the sake of it. It's a decent system as is, GH stuff is interesting to track in its own right but I largely just don't categorise it the same way when I look at it. I'm just thinking of how you get cases like The Chainsmokers' "Collage" EP, where 95% (real number, I don't exaggerate for effect) of its streams come from two songs. In the US, it's been granted a double platinum cert and is close to triple. It makes the Electronic Albums EOY top 10 every single year while 2 of its 5 tracks generate 10,000 global streams a day. In Australia and the UK, it has a more fair, modest Gold & Silver certification respectively, and I suspect the other tracks were more popular in these countries. That feels more right to me. It's frustrating to look at album certs in the US and just see them as a sum of the hit song certifications divided by 10, because that's basically what they are.Or another example, the Spotify streaming totals of each Radiohead album, with and without the top 2 tracks included. I think the latter paints a better picture of the more popular albums (unless we're algorithmically creating a generation of Pablo Honey diehards..), and that shouldn't that be what album charts are trying to do??

Yesterday at 17:181 day Ooh wonder if just can jump 1 of the Oasis and finish top 3Sapphire looking good for a repeak this week
Yesterday at 17:451 day Do you think Time Flies... can stay at #1 in the end ?Compared with first midweeks : +3k for Wet Leg, +5k for Oasis who's coming back tonight in Manchester (so probably a surge in streams today AND tomorrow).Last week, Oasis did same figures in Wednesday midweeks : 12,796 units for Time Flies... (which finished with 21,015 units), 9,868 units for Morning Glory (which finished with 15,733 units).
Yesterday at 17:501 day SWAG should finish top 3 in the end then, and I hope Amy Macdonald can hold in the top 5, it's a great album!

This has been seen multiple times with Christmas songs, Halloween songs, Three Lions, Fleetwood Mac songs after Christine McVie’s death where the given event has no effect on the estimated streams.

Yesterday at 20:321 day I don’t have a problem with Greatest Hits, but a lot of the time, people aren’t even listening to these albums, it’s just they’ve streamed a ‘Hits’ playlist for that artists. Look at Madonna, her whole catalog streams were directed to a remix album? No one is actually listening to that remix album, but it’s Madonna’s highest selling album in years.
