21 hours ago21 hr Pixies, Stones, Pink Floyd are the biggest to fall for me so far. Three stone cold classics, curiously each from a different decade. Also, Surfer Rosa is the best Pixies album and I'll fight anyone who tries to tell me different.

The track would have been sung from the perspective of a man called Ray to his wife Sally, but the project was abandoned and the song was recycled for Who's Next. The lyrics about a "teenage wasteland" were inspired by Woodstock '69 and the heavy drug use in the crowd. It was not released as a single, charting for the first time in 2012 after the band's performance at the Olympics closing ceremony. It was also used as the theme to CSI:NY which ran between 2004 and 2013.

17 hours ago17 hr Author Thoughts on 25-21I Wanna Be Yours- I like the Arctics but think they're pretty overrated, AM is still a good album though. This isn't one of my favourites on it, much prefer "R U Mine" and "Do I Wanna Know".What You Know- one of my favourite British indie rock songs! Not sure why this sticks out over other similar tracks for me but it does. Not too familiar with TDCC outside of Tourist History but I can say it's my favourite from that album.Baba O'Riley- great track from the Who, love the cinematic feel it has. That intro is amazing.Charlemagne- again another awesome indie song- two of my mates are massive Blossoms fans and helped me really get into the band recently so I've been playing their songs quite a lot over the past few months. I actually prefer "Your Girlfriend" but this is a close second favourite for me!A-Punk- Inbetweeners Inbetweeners Inbetweeners Inbetweeners. That's all I hear when this song comes on. I can't take it seriously and even if I could I probably wouldn't enjoy it much anyway, not a fan of anything else I've heard from this band.
17 hours ago17 hr Quite a few songs in this section I perhaps under-scored having not heard them often / recently enough. TDCC, Baba O' Riley and Charlemagne are all very solid. By contrast, I can't stand A Punk, it really grates on me!

It has always been one of my least favourites by them. They’re a fantastic band, I think one of the very best of the 21st Century and brilliant live too!
4 hours ago4 hr Nothing from the latest batch that particularly moves me, except perhaps Baba O'Riley but that's not even among my favourite Who tracks

Despite the European success the song has never charted in the UK.
1 hour ago1 hr Great that “I Follow Rivers” made the Top 20. I first heard it in a café sometime in the mid 2010s when I wasn’t following music so much and immediately thought I need to find out what that song is. I think it’s very special, particularly the original - the whole thing is like a meditation.

I’d never heard this remix before and I’m sorry I don’t think it brings anything useful, instead removing all of the distinctiveness and frankly oddness that makes it such a fantastic song and replacing it with a standard disco beat and house piano making it sound like a million other songs😔

The working title was "The Doctor". Waters and David Gilmour heavily disagreed over how the orchestral sections sounded, with Gilmour stating that the song represented the last embers of his ability to work creatively with Waters. A cover by Scissor Sisters reached number 10 in 2004. The original reach number 18 on the download charts in 2005: with a physical release the song would have charted.
