June 26Jun 26 Oh it's the album versions of Better Best Forgotten and I Have A Dream on Disc 2, possibly A Little Bit More too?

June 26Jun 26 Saltwater, King Of My Castle and Hey Boy Hey Girl all aren't quite right either. I think the former is a 2008 vocal re-record (Chicane finally added the original 1999 version to streaming last week), Wamdue Project and Chemical Brothers just aren't the versions on now 44/Now 43.Sometimes and Secret Smile also aren't the single versions.Interesting that Shania is the correct UK mix though after being listed as the album version. Jenny wasn't even in the band until 2001.But yeah, you're right on Steps, Westlife and 911 too (oops at the album versions that don't have as much oomph).Thank goodness they used the hit versions of ATB and The Corrs <3 The latter deserved a spot on the vinyl.
June 26Jun 26 I been watching TOTP and they’re up to 2000. If they have no intention of doing 00s yearbooks, they should include some songs on extra 1999 that were hits in 1999 and peaked in 2000 such asS Club 7 - Two In A Million/You're My Number OneSteps - Better The Devil You Know/Say You’ll Be MineDJ Luck & MC Neat - A Little Bit Of Luck Edited June 26Jun 26 by Hadji
Saturday at 08:335 days Saltwater didn't sound any different to me but I think that's probably because I'm so used to the version that's been available digitally this whole time.Hey Boy Hey Girl is a radio edit but the single release and Now 43 version used the album version so it does sound different.
Saturday at 09:455 days Went past my local HMV today and it looks like the issues with the CD versions of the 1999 yearbook have been resolved. I would’ve popped in to get my copy if I didn’t order it from Amazon
Saturday at 10:365 days Speaking of HMV, I would've got my selection of NOW CDs from there, but Wrexham don't have an HMV anymore.
Saturday at 10:375 days So a mixed bag on the whole regarding versions then. Good to hear it’s the right version of ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ and ‘9pm (Till I Come)’ but a bit sad on the ones that are album/not-single versions. IMO, it cheapens the experience.

It got replaced on streaming by that other version years ago but isn't the hit version. This was the hit version in 1999, I recently replaced it on BuzzJack Presents 1999 as the version Now used was only available at the time we compiled that.Weird, because the version on Now 43 of Hey Boy Hey Girl was definitely on the radio at the time with that intro, strange they were playing an album version if this radio edit was available.
Saturday at 10:555 days I don't like when any track changes the vocals compared to the original, the main annoying one I have found so far is the Maxx - Get-A-Way chorus vocalist being changed for the Spotify version.Fragma - Toca's Miracle was changed for the Spotify version too because of the Coco row but the new vocalist did well mimicing the original vocal iirc.
Saturday at 11:295 days Pretty sure the version of Heartbroken by T2 on streaming is a re-recorded vocal too, certainly doesn’t sound quite right to me.

Saturday at 15:235 days No issue getting Yearbook 99 from my local HMV this morning. Glad it’s got the good version of Shania on it. But surprised to see Scott Mills get a shout out in the booklet.
