I think calling it a crime is going too far. Spotify will updates its playlists in due course and Goldeb will likely be a lot higher. It’s a lot higher on Apples playlists.

I think it's more a case of a movie soundtrack song being a separate case to a regular single! Being in a popular movie, especially one with a wide ranging audience as we entered the summer holidays, is a whole extra load of promo. It basically makes up for a less than ideal HHUK position and then some I think. Steve's Lava Chicken being any sort of hit is further proof...!

Heck there's a lot of actual crimes against music put there 😅

the role of HH is not to make hits anymore

it's to keep them up there for months and months once they've become hits

it's slower than ever at responding to songs climbing the charts

even songs like the new Lewis didn't get big support on week 1 and then on week 4 they are the cover of HH and moved to track #1

Spotify has updated and there are a lot of Ozzy/Black Sabbath climbs - presumably due to coverage of his funeral yesterday.
