Posted July 27Jul 27 HUNTR/X (singing vocals by EJAE, AUDREY NUNA and REI AMI) is a fictional group from the movie KPop Demon Hunters.Considering the song is making it to the UK Top 3, it warrants its own thread now as part of the forum home page. Also, I like the Guetta remix better! July 28Jul 28 Even #1 on the first look charts. It has been really growing on me the last days and may enter my top 10 at next week's charts. Also pre-ordered the soundtrack on CD.
July 28Jul 28 The soundtrack is full of bangers; Golden isn't my ultimate favourite from it (What It Sounds Like is probably my top song) - but I'm happy to see Golden being so successful. Coming for #1 in the UK and being #2 in the US is phenomenal!
July 30Jul 30 It's very dated and generic, kind of enjoyable up to a point but the sort of thing that I hear once in a Eurovision national final and never play again. It's nice to have a simple pop track not chasing any current trends doing well I guess. But I guess give any song the exposure of a huge viral Netflix film and it stands a good chance of taking off regardless of how it sounds, just due to how many people are exposed to it.
Wednesday at 07:124 days Hit the number 1 in the US π and likely back to number 1 on Friday in the UK for that rare double ππ
Wednesday at 08:464 days As much as I do prefer Take down and what it sounds like, more pretty impressive for this
Wednesday at 13:184 days 'Golden' is the first new chart hit of the year that's really caught my attention, it is some really blindingly addictive and striking pop.
Wednesday at 15:124 days Sorry but this really does just give C-tier Eurovision slop, I can only assume it somehow hits harder in context of the film?I do like 'Your Idol' though.
Wednesday at 15:394 days Yeah it really does work well in the film, it's played in several contexts at different times and all at key parts. I like it a lot more having seen it.That said, I'm still not overkeen on Soda Pop.
Wednesday at 15:514 days It's basically your standard 'I Want' musical song, but within the film, when it's successfully performed, it works well as a culmination of Rumi's plotline and explores her growth as a character, the high note is one of the subtle elements that shows this that won't be as obvious without context.I would probably not be as into this if I hadn't seen the film and it's still not my favourite from the soundtrack (that'd be How It's Done), but it's still a really well-done song and love that an original (and good x) film having this much success and cultural impact.

It's also just got a lot of fun things with the vocals and pop production going on, and I'm always a sucker for dramatic pop songs.
Wednesday at 18:134 days Yeah i dont think.its the strongest from the film, but definitely grown on me The girls songs definitely seem stronger than the boys overall, wouldn't mind, what it feels like, charting too
