^ please keep Big Top 40 chat in here, it's not an official, industry-recognised chart and they're not remotely transparent about it so I don't think it needs its own thread!

  • Yeah there is absolutely no way Taylor is doing it!

Why are we just listing random songs that have nothing to do with each other? lol

Why are you all criticising my listing? Nothing to do with each other? They are songs that deserve a place on Capital Anthems in the coming years before more presenters are hired

They need to refresh their playlist first. What's the "newest song" they're playing? Don't think they're going further than 2023 are they

Is It Over Now? by Taylor Swift is the newest one they playlisted from memory, but its no longer a regular from what ive checked

With this week's announcement of six presenters leaving Radio 1 in September surely one of them will be joining Capital. Obviously there are no vacancies right now at Capital but I don't think these four presenters will be on Capital much longer: Kemi Rodgers, Aimee Vivian, Jimmy Hill and Jay London.

So out of the six who have left Radio 1 who is likely to join?

Dean McCullough - Dean would be much better at Hits Radio in my opinion but because he's known(ish) to the general public from IAC I can see Capital wanting him.

Nat O'Leary - Nat would be AMAZING at Capital and I'd definitely listen a lot more if she was on there.

James Cusack - He could return to Capital nationally as he has already done cover work for Capital and Heart drive when it wasn't nationalised.

Rickie, Melvin and Swarzy are unlikely I'd say.

James was on a regional heart before so global definitely are comfortable with him. Nat most likely will be off to KISS tho.

You’re lucky Will Manning ain’t leaving. If these 4 leave Capital, this will be the new schedule :

Nat O’Leary - 10-12, Weekdays

Yinrun Huang (Big Brother) - 1-4, Weekdays

The Capital Evening Show with Alan Carr - 7-10, Weekdays

Dean McCullough & Chunkz - 12-4, Weekends

Any other thoughts?
