That's another £1 in the Alexa "swear" jar!

Alexa/Amazon will help with streaming, Camera is @1 on Amazon Hot Hits and is the 1st song played if you ask Alexa to play music

Also the album will do very well, im sure minimum 100k, only cos he did a Coldplay and linked the album to tour tix. Im sure thats 100k minimum like the Coldplay case. Interested in the sales of vinyls cos thats a real measure of the fanbase in my opinion, lets see if Jade beats him there

Ed’s definitely in more Coldplay territory now. Still part of the conversation, Radio 1 will still play him and will still get the odd hit and album’s will still sell decently but won’t takeover the charts. Near enough 15 years into his career I think that is good going for him.

Damn at Ed flopping so badly. Might not even sell 50k at this rate.

His physical sales will be pretty huge I would have thought for instance his standard CD on Amazon has sold 5k+ the deluxe 2k+ so that's 7k just on Amazon (Not even including the Vinyls which are high up the chart)

He's really pushed multi formats, tour pre-sales etc so He'll probably have a big first week then fall off quite a bit I'd imagine.

Just checked Coldplay's Moon Music cos they did the same with the CD linked to tour tickets and they sold 180K CDs

think it's gonna be similar for Ed if I understand it well and he did the same

Coldplay’s pre-order thing was linked to their entire UK stadium tour, Ed’s was linked his 3 Ipswich dates earlier this year and 2 arena shows in December.

That’s far fewer tickets overall, so I wouldn’t expect it to have the same impact as it did for Coldplay.

Cue the flop posts when Ed "only" sells 80k or something...!

I think they are building the narrative already…..

You’re all hilarious.

I wish my faves could flop with sales that would be enough to secure them a number 1 album 95% of the weeks of the year (and I suspect he’ll continue to sell well for the rest of the year)

Ed’s diminishing returns are just normal diminishing returns for someone who hasn’t really missed a step since his debut major label single in 2011 with his imperial phase almost 8-ish years ago…

I agree with the poster who says he’s firmly in Coldplay territory now in terms of strong radio support and album sales etc… with hit singles aplenty still.

omg to those who think I have been hacked for somewhat defending E*…

I’m ok I promise!!!!!!!! Still firmly f*** him forever etc and #TeamJade etc…!!!!!!!!!

4 top 20s and potentially a number 1 album within top 5 sales of the year how could he flop so badly 😤 put a fork in him his career is done 😮
