Female stars specifically get "cancelled" for absolutely NOTHING... but things like this happen and they receive boosts in streams/sales of their discographies... I suspect he's got a lot of people behind him who will be "FREE D4VD" just like they're doing for R Kelly and P Diddy etc.. Ugh.

diddy and r kelly were long past their prime when the allegations came out so that’s probably why they had no noticeable boost from it whereas d4vd’s hits are a lot more recent (with one of them having a quite obvious new darker context)

Yeah tbf i knew who Diddy was D4vd I dont and dont really plan on it but I can understand curiosity streams to see how good or terrible he actually is

d4vd also had huge streaming numbers even before all this. He has 36.8m monthly listeners, and that number wasn’t much different a week ago.

I take those numbers with a pinch of salt as they are worldwide, he only had 1 album and 2 eps here which didnt chart and only 2 songs actually chart ( 2 or the 3 climbing)

True, but those 3 particular songs are certified Platinum, Gold & Silver in the UK already.

All 3 did chart - ‘Feel It’ didn’t make the Top 40, but hung around for ages in the Spotify chart.
