Ya it may have been a better move but im not sure if would have made much difference the the sales of the album.

He still might manage to hit 10k this week which isnt bad in todays climate but looking at todays mids he is definitely going to miss the top 3.

Tbf its doing decent chart wise just poor release date, if he had gone Q1/Q2 would of easily charted higher with its current numbers

I've always run on the belief that Q4 is the best time for albums cos of sales being higher in the run up to Christmas, but these days I don't know how true that is.

You could say that he'd chart higher on these current numbers in Q1, but who's to say that he'd even get the same amount of sales in the first place?

He's gone on record as saying that this is the album he wanted to make after X Factor, and it clearly has more of a playful vibe than he's known for which probably leaves him more open to piss-taking online. Having said that, it's surely still better than not being talked about at all?

Part of the issue is that he doesn't have a very streaming heavy fanbase.

Q4 used to be good because of stocking fillers but now in a streaming dominated chart not so much , only really big artists tend to sell huge on the physical format these days

I so miss the days of 80k first week sales being difficult for top 10 at this time of year!

I use to really love this time of year for releases, both singles and albums. It's all so lack luster now. Well I feel it is. Which I guess is really a sign of the times.
