  • I really don't understand why you all seem to love Olivia Dean. Is it just because she's British? I think her music is very boring. Dive is in fact her best, I think. Who would want bossanova all nigh

  • Looks like I was onto something - 'Golden' debuts at #1 on Video Streaming this week! 'Your Idol' shoots up to #6 there too.

  • Lewis’ CDs keeping this from a top 3 debut 🤣🤣 I’m sure this will have more longevity! Funnily enough, raye vs Lewis has been a chart battle before, when the pointless cds pushed it to 1 to knock escap

Biography

A sensitive troubadour for the age of social media, Sombr places equal emphasis on sound and soul-baring lyrics. "Caroline," the viral hit that helped the singer/songwriter escalate from indie status to a major label while he was still in his teens, relies on cinematic vistas and rolling harmonies as much as his dramatic vocals. By the time he released the EP In Another Life in 2023, Sombr was collaborating with Tony Berg -- a producer known for his work with Phoebe Bridgers and Michael Penn -- and opening up his music in ways he continued to explore on the 2024 single "In Your Arms." - Apple Music

Biography

KPop Demon Hunters is a 2025 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and released by Netflix. It was directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, from a screenplay by Kang, Appelhans, and Hannah McMechan and Danya Jimenez, based on a story conceived by Kang. The film stars the voices of Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Lee Byung-hun. It follows a fictional K-pop girl group, Huntr/x, who lead double lives as demon hunters; they face off against a rival boy band, the Saja Boys, whose members are secretly demons. KPop Demon Hunters originated from Kang's desire to create a story inspired by her Korean heritage, drawing on elements of mythology, demonology, and K-pop to craft a visually distinct and culturally rooted film. The film was reported to be in production at Sony Pictures Animation by March 2021, with the full creative team attached. The film was animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks and was stylistically influenced by concert lighting, editorial photography, and music videos as well as anime and Korean dramas. The soundtrack features original songs by several talents, and a score composed by Marcelo Zarvos. KPop Demon Hunters was released on June 20, 2025, on Netflix, to positive reviews, with praise for its animation, visual style, voice acting, humor, and music. - Wikipedia

CDs don’t impact ACR anyway! IIRC it’s only streaming not physicals

OMG they skipped 12 to 12 then

Wow did they really skip a top 10 song?

Glad this got a week in the top 5, my fave from the soundtrack still, sooo good!

Saja Boys = "Saja Boys"

HUNTR/X = "KPop Demon Hunters"

(yeah I know it's because of the weeks of "Hunter X" mispronunciation)

I think 7 (Sombr - 12 to 12) was skipped in playing list. But nothing compared to the incident on the 2 June 1991 show where Divinyls were new at 34 and Blur was at 33, but Mark cocked up on the live broadcast, and played Blur first then Divinyls.

Boo at 12 To 12 being skipped and I hope the album effect for Olivia can send Man I Need to number 1 next week and star out Dive

Where's Trump to fire Radio 1's producer?

I think Number 7 is the wrong track played - I think Your Idol is the supposed number 7. 6 is the jingle played in error.

Would make sense, they've only skipped a top 10 if 1. they've ran out of time (which they surely haven't) or 2. the track is not radio friendly!

It wouldn't be a Jack Saunders chart show without missing out at least 1 position !!

Of course songs can be radio friendly if radio can mute the bad words. Now manage to include songs that aren’t radio friendly by muting the profanities
