Official Charts Report

A Taylor Triple! Following the release of her twelfth studio album The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift finds three tracks off the record, The Fate of Ophelia (1), Elizabeth Taylor (2) and Opalite (3) all make up the Top 3 in this week's Official Chart First Look.

Apart from this incredible feat, it could be Taylor's fifth UK Number 1 single since her 2024 collab with Post Malone on Fortnight and solo chart-topping track since Is It Over Now? (Taylor's Version) in 2023.

Can Taylor make a quite remarkable piece of history come Friday?

However, the Nashville Princesses closest opponent to ending her hopes of three tracks in the Top 3 is Olivia Dean, who will looking to wrestle back her Number 1 spot after topping the charts for the first time ever last week with Man I Need (4).

Elsewhere, Fred Again's collab with Amyl and The Sniffers titled you're a star, may find itself breaking the Top 40 (23). This is the first single of the British DJ's streak where he will be releasing a track every Friday for ten weeks.

D-Block Europe could return to the Top 40 offering with their latest track Wrongs featuring Lil Tjay (29).

With their new album Deadbeat on the horizon, Tame Impala may find one of the records lead singles Dracula jump six places into the Top 40 this week (36).

And finally, popular scouse rapper EsDeeKid with Rico Ace could secure his first ever Top 40 hit with the viral track, Phantom (40).

I went to see Taylor Swift's album launch at the cinema last night.

We saw the video to The Fate Of Ophelia twice at the beginning and end of the film.

We also saw lots of behind the scenes of the video being made.

Taylor also introduced the other 11 tracks on the album and we had lyric videos to singalong to.

Apart from Ophelia, the best track on the album for me was Elizabeth Taylor.

I hope that is one of the other two tracks to chart tonight.

I wonder if we'll see Taylor do 300k+?

Her sales in the US are insane. Already over 3 million and she's been releasing additional variants (going to break Adele's record and may come close to 4 million first week by the looks of it).

The Tortured Poets Deparment did 270k first week. I can't see why the album wouldn't do 300k+ if she's made as many physicals/variants available in the UK as the US.

Shame Father Figure is likely gonna be starred out as it’s one of the best songs on the album

I’m surprised the title track isn’t in the top 3 seeing as Sabrina features on it
