Number 72 on the Updates Chart.

Oh damn, I hope it's a case where most of the sales just haven't kicked in yet.

That is substantially lower than all results she's ever achieved (the last 2 albums were #7 and #2 respectively)

  • No joke, there's a cattery near me called Pussy Palace.

  • Honestly shocked Lily is doing so well, I was expecting no single entries and maybe the album to go top 30 at most with no physical. I didn’t realise there was so much hype for her, No Shame seemed to

I'm very shocked, as this album seemed to be having more buzz than the previous one which still managed to get a top ten placement. I was thinking she'd make it into the top 20, but I won't hold out hope.

Amazing for Lily! I'm hoping that means there'll be a "proper" more commercial banger-heavy album of new music at some point!

That's a great initial showing for Henry Moodie too, wasn't sure what to expect from it but hopefully it will end up between 20-30 on Friday.

Gutted for Demi :( her previous 5 studio albums here all went top ten in the UK so that’s some drop here. It’s a shame as the materials really strong too but it’s went a tad unnoticed.

I think the success of this album is hinging less on who Lily's divorce was or the mid-2000s being 'cool' again (which has been going on for like 5 years now), and more on the quality of the album and how much people are connecting to Lily's songwriting and sense of humour in the face of what must've been a highly difficult situation for her. David Harbour is well-known, but certainly not enough to influence the British charts of all rankings through an unconfirmed divorce from his ex-wife who was a big star almost 2 decades ago.

For the same reason, Katy won't come back anywhere near the top of the charts unless the next album is undeniably a major return to form for her and helps her shrug the disdain/disregard the public has had for almost a decade now.

Totally! Lily's musical style is very relevant in today's pop climate. It is a bit surprising that the new album is THIS popular but sonically, it all feels like very current.

First Jonas Brothers and now Demi suddenly dropping off in the album charts... the Camp Rock curse was not on my bingo card this year

Lily at 4 with no physicals is great, think she could end up at 3 above Bon Jovi

Nice to see some climbs on the songs too, hope Madeline goes top 20!

Massive shame at Demis album, 72 wow, wasn’t expecting it to do amazing but I thought at least top 40

Sales are in!

Why is Demi doing so badly? Does she have physicals out this week? Her last album didn’t have much hype either and that still reached #7 so I expected this one to do similarly

The fact Lily Allen is going to have a top 5 album this week and three top 40 singles is mind blowing but I’m chuffed for her!

Great to see The Clause finally release a debut album, 6 years after they signed to Sony and were dropped without releasing a single song!

They were very briefly the Next Big Indie Band, but alas.

I saw them supporting Louis Dunford last year and thought they were solid, good energy and stage presence - I’ll check out that album.

I thought Dave would be a little higher on both charts but Lily dropping on the same day with a similarly impactful album potentially ate into the hype a bit (I know they are very different artists but there are only so many column inches to go around for each).

I guess Taylor will have enough of a resurgence to stop Bon Jovi from getting yet another No.2 album.

Who can Maroon 5 blame? 🤣

Anyone know why Billie Jean is back in at #87? Not exactly the MJ track you'd expect to see this week over Thriller.

MJ is classed as Halloween in general for some weird reason on Spotify

Great to see Dave's 3 albums all in the Top 40

That's a decent lead for 'Golden' but maybe not insurmountable. Has ACR cost 'Man I Need' a return to #1? Speaking of Olivia, I see 'Nice To Each Other' has remained her third highest track despite moving to ACR itself.

I don’t think it’s related to Halloween. Looking at last.fm, it had a big rise in August and has been fairly steady since.

Thanks to TikTok, according to the comments.

Her last album had lots of different formats with alternative vinyl and cd covers also signed copies. This time there are 2 vinyls that have been sold out for a while now and 1 standard cd and cassette no signed copies either.
