I think it may be an indicator of how it may chart or not here in Ireland later today. I am disappointed though that it didn't chart in Australia, looks like we are looking to the UK and it going number 1 to make up for other disappointments.

I think it probably also goes to show how small of an impact Amazon Music has in Australia. If it was on Spotify I dare say top 50 would’ve been far more likely.

I dont know, you have an Aussie Flag, so I presume you come from here. We just dont do xmas songs and the media ignores music full stop. From what I heard Mariah Carey went Number 1 on the legacy charts with less then 4k. Kylie came in at 66 on the main charts, just short of 6k sales. 7k Made top 50 and less than 14 was number 1. Sad sales across the board. I do know that ARIA is getting less reporting theses days because of a backlash, many are unhappy with the new rules as they seem to of gone against what the wanted to do, which was promote Australian music artists, Many are unhappy that the ARIA board has only members from the major record companies and no one representing artists on their own, no one representing independant artists and no one representing the generals public point of view. It's Generally a total mess

But being number 1 in the UK in a few hours time will take that pain away :)

I use to follow the ARIA charts like a religion back in the 00’s. Back when we use to have State and Territory #1’s.

It’s a shame how bad it’s all become.

In terms of next year, I'm not expecting it to have a major impact or reach the top 40 again - but if it can chart lowly for a week or two and gather up the extra sales needed to go silver (assuming it doesn't quite make it this year) that'll be nice.

The band that is in my profile, Cloning, sold enough of their Album to be number 2 Nationally. They are an Indie band and had to pay ARIA before they would be included in that weeks charts. They paid for everything to make the album happen. Then they had to pay ARIA to tell us what they sold. It is corrupt beyond belief

Better the devil was the first that made me sit back, followed by what do and shocked, the whole era was gigantic for me, I have loved many era's since, but this number 1, to borrow a quote "Will be the sweetest of all" lol

This! I didn’t know anything about the charts when Kylie was last #1. I’ve been through so many great chart moments - All the Lovers, Dancing, Kylie vs. Little Mix, Padam Padam - and this moment is going straight to the top!

Correct - nothing will be posted here, it’ll likely be leaked on Kylie groups but for once I’m going to listen to the charts and stay away from any potential spoilers
