  • Looks like ACR may finally come a calling for 'Golden' this week

  • RAYE’s pushing for the #1 this week! She added a new 7” variant to her shop & restocked the standard 7”, plus the remix helping it too. I got a confirmation email yesterday evening telling me my 7

  • Raye is an independent artist who has only recently found success after years of label and industry battles. It’s ridiculous to even think it’s the same level.

When I was annoyed about Perfect stopping Last Christmas from getting Christmas number 1 in 2017, I take that back

I'm still annoyed 'Perfect' even exists

Is it really though if each time selling in minutes clearly there isnt enough supply for the demand 🤣

Also wheres the uproar with raye suddenly releasing all these vinyl singles

Or 5SOS having all their variants for each member 🤷

Double standards much

Maybe cuz there's no competition so it doesn't matter? Different variants in your 1st tracking week ain't so bad anyway, just allows people to get the version they want.

So basically double standards 🤭 (isnt golden and TFOO rayes "competition" )

Hope raye gets it but the irony is funny🤣

Extra sales from Music Week:

Wham!’s Last Christmas – the No.1 single for Christmas last year – is at No.21 (4,114) with a consumption increase of 64.2% week-on-week powering a 29 place surge.

Not far behind, Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You is at No.25 (3,985 units), up from No.51 thanks to a 54.5% week-on-week consumption increase.

As a result, they could face a challenge for No.1 this year from a high-profile new Amazon Original festive single from Kylie Minogue. XMAS is in the Midweek sales flash at No.72 (2,158 units) with consumption up 83.6% week-on-week.

In the UK albums chart, Michael Bublé is beginning his return to the upper reaches with Christmas – it has moved 142-56 with a 91.6% consumption increase in the latest Midweeks. The album has returned to No.1 for the last four years.

But its not coming off as a dickish move when you're battling for 1 num aganist 2 artists who have held it for multiple weeks.

You dont have to like an artist but dont hide behind lies and double standards 🙄

Golden the first song to have four separate runs at #1? It's bad enough HUNTR/X took the record away from The Archies but certainly don't deserve to be s**t on by an animated version of Wham!.

Streaming the 3 versions now - come on Raye ❤️

Our usually reliable friend on twitter has given us the top 3 albums today

1 - Everyone's A Star - 5 Seconds Of Summer ( 15,200 )

2 - PTSD2 - D Block Europe ( 8,539 )

3 - The Art Of Loving - Olivia Dean ( 7,353 )

Apparently D Block Europe had an album signing today in Cardiff so they needed to sign 6,661 albums to close the gap !!

Olivia ahead of Taylor is a surprise!

Ugh, we really need to be spared from D Block Europe getting another #1 album. The UK needs to pull together!

Tbf i think she'd of got her without the signed cds last week so personally im not suprised 😅

I dont see how D Europe could even catch up at this point, even Olivia is close to overtaking them.

Tbf if Olivia does similar numbers to last week all it would take is a minor push from her team on x etc

Variants are variants doesnt matter who you are stop using double standards and excuses to justify different views to different people

What's the excuse for 5SOS then 🤭

But yes I want raye to go number to and have her moment too
