The British star is set to lock horns with Taylor Swift for Number 1 in this week's Official Chart First Look. Having spent a large amount of time in third, RAYE’s popular tune WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! could possibly see movement, currently up one position into Number 2. Has the time ultimately come for her to claim the throne and a second top single triumph after Escapism. in 2022? But she will have to KO Taylor’s The Fate of Ophelia, which claimed its fifth week at the summit on Friday (1). Olivia Dean and So Easy (To Fall In Love) is also on course to move up one this week (3), which would mark the tracks best performing position yet. With the deluxe version of her album So Close To What dropping, Tate McRae could earn the highest new entry this week with NOBODY’S GIRL (8). The Canadian also finds two other tracks in TIT FOR TAT (12) and ANYTHING BUT LOVE (20) potentially sealing a Top 20 finish. As the Christmas season draws ever closer, multiple festive hits could step into the Top 40. The list sees Wham! and Last Christmas on course to break the Top 10 (10), while another possible Top 20 inclusion consists of Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You (15). Moreover, other potential holiday entries include Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree from Brenda Lee (25), Kelly Clarkson’s Underneath The Tree (29), The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl on the classic Fairytale of New York (31), Santa Tell Me from Wicked star Ariana Grande (32), a new entry from Kylie Minogue with her Amazon Music Original track XMAS (33), Jingle Bell Rock courtesy of Bobby Helms (35) and finally, Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin’ Stevens (36). As Wicked: For Good hit cinema screens last week, three songs from the film's soundtrack may possibly sneak into the Top 40 standings. Firstly, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande team up on For Good (17), while Erivo’s solo track No Good Deed (23), and her collab with Jonathan Bailey on As Long As You’re Mine (37) could all perform well. Elsewhere, South Korean sensations Stray Kids may bag their best performing UK Charts single to date with DO IT (22), following the release of their EP last Friday. Rounding off this week’s First Look is Sonny Fodera, whose track Think About Us featuring D.O.D and Poppy Baskcomb continues to be shown love, as it’s set to jump six places (24).

Friday at 23:244 days The Official Chart Company defines a boundary between EP and album classification at 25 minutes of length or four tracks. An AI Google search says,An Extended Play (EP) can chart on the Official Charts Company (OCC) album chart, provided it meets the OCC's specific eligibility rules for length and content. For a release to qualify as an album for sales-chart purposes, it must meet the following criteria: Contain more than four tracks.Have a total playing time of over 25 minutes. If an EP fails to meet these requirements, it is considered a single and is only eligible for the Official Singles Chart. This is driven by the UK Chart rules, which distinguish between releases for the Singles/EPs chart and the Albums chart.
Friday at 23:284 days I make the AeroBLUD EP to be 19mins 39sec with 5 tracks. So it should not be in the Album chart. Edited Friday at 23:284 days by ben08
Friday at 23:354 days 5 is more than 4 though. So it should be in the album chart. The length requirement is only relevant for releases that have 4 or fewer tracks, see the Skye Newman EP which is even shorter (despite having 6 tracks) but is in the album chart.I think in the past there have been 5 track releases that ended up in a purgatory and appeared to count for neither chart though so I'd probably say that as usual whenever the answer isn't immediately obvious the real answer is just wait and see.(aside: we do not need AI to tell us the rules, not least because it slightly mangled it there xx)I see the Stray Kids release (which seems to be classified as a mixtape rather than an EP) is also 5 tracks although one of them is just a remix which I don't think counts towards the number of tracks so assuming that'll just count as a single? Although no doubt it'll have ineligible physical sales as per regardless x
Friday at 23:493 days The albums chart will be interesting, with The Beatles, Aerosmith/Yungblud & Olly Murs in contention.
Saturday at 00:373 days Golden to still stay Top 10 with ACR and the Christmas songs rising? Maybe #8 or #9?

(Might have more than 3 songs appear in the mids because the OCC can never figure this out before Friday)

(Might have more than 3 songs appear in the mids because the OCC can never figure this out before Friday)Defying Gravity is also rising again on streaming, since both films are treated as their separate things with three track limits, would that mean that Erivo could have four songs in the top 100 next week - two with Grande (one from each ost), one with Bailey and one solo.
Saturday at 14:133 days On the album charts you also have greatest hits albums by James and Madness, hard to say how well they’ll do, they could prove to be popular Christmas presents

Saturday at 18:303 days I’m 99 that the three song limit applies to the cast of Wicked in general, Defying Gravity won’t be allowed back in alongside the three from the new film
