And I will literally be home from town at like 8pm (maybe 8.10 at the latest) so it's a good thing there's usually warm-up songs played at the listenthrough, means I might not miss the first couple of songs hehe. Not that it's hard to go and listen to a couple songs on my own later, and I'll do a re-listen on my own anyway, but you know x

Semi 1 was strong (especially the first half), have got at least 14 points-worthy songs in there - going to send my biggest hypes from first impressions to what I think is a quite diverse sounding trio of A-Konohagakure, Dalisska and Mothertopia.

I've had three votes in so far for each semi, keep them coming! Three days (and seven hours) left! I haven't received enough data for anything conclusive but for sure both semis are super competitive so I'm not really sure what will end up happening.

Voted in semi 1. Interestingly there were a couple of songs that just missed out that I would probably expect to vote for in most contests, and then there were a couple I voted for that ordinarily I wouldn't really expect to vote for. Minds opening up further etc. 😁

It’s defo going to be a bloodbath, don’t think I’ve ever been in a contest with 9 NQ’ers before!

Not to downplay it at all and it is relatively a low Q ratio compared to the last few contests but I remember a long period where 60 was a common lower-bound of contestants and in comparison to the occasional contest that had a few more (63-66ish), the 60 contestant contests felt quite comfy to qualify from.

Though of course I didn't make it out of the semis of several of those, it's just that a while ago, only 9 DNQs felt quite low (in part because you'd expect 10 on 60 songs with 20 from each semi but the AQs sorta 'gave' the semis an extra one).

Little hard to call where the votes may go in semi 1 of course, it looks on paper slightly more pop-leaning than the other semi but plenty of opportunity for votes there to go in many directions.
