So it’s a HUGE congratulations to Danæviia who were right to be confident that they had found a hit as they join the four winners club, ending up 17 points ahead in the end, although as they are 32 points ahead of Neliönoir, the latter has made it and just about edged over the line as the end of year No.1 (wait for Brer confirmation though before you get the party poppers out), so it’s great news for both countries this evening!

What an incredible return for Lentyll in second – they won the semi so it didn’t come as a surprise to me, but probably will for those who had them low in the odds.

And Fljótavík were right to send a song that they loved, with the song bagging a top three hit for them to round off the year for the legendary Tori Amos!

Cor Lupus had a topsy turvy evening but our gold medal – their only one – pushes them back into the top five at the last gasp!

And FARC round off the top five, barely down on their second place last month – a very well chosen AQ indeed!

Skall won the other semi so, again, not too surprising for me to see them manage sixth here, it’s been a great year for them! Taahino win the battle of the girlbands as they sneak into the top ten!

We are very happy with 13th, thanks very much to all the voters – I’m never quite sure how to approach an AQ, so just sent something that I recently found and loved and felt like a meeting of all my favourite musical sounds – so very apt for this landmark contest. I think it just about edged me into the top five of the year too, which is amazing, but Brer or Jim can confirm the end of year chart later.
