As much hoped for by them throughout the year, Cor Lupus are granted the honour of a new EOY peak, after previously coming 4th in both 2017 and 2018. They've never placed lower than 16th and have been top 10 in 8 of their 11 years of participation. 78 seems quite low for a biggest fan so their strength is clearly in very consistently wide appeal x

A new EOY peak for a second year running for Dan after placing 4th in 2024, following two previous top 10 finishes in 2017 & 2018. Let's see if they can improve upon that next year and go all the way to the top... they could very well do it if they keep up that crazy consistency from month to month and of course start the year with a guaranteed qualifier x

22 18s is also easily the most any country got this year, FSR Rontvia and Skall being runners up with 19 each. Séyetana being the biggest Dan fans of the year feels quite out of leftfield again though!

Obvz we all already knew how the top 2 played out unless you didn't read the BJSC 180 results thread but a big old well done to whitecircle once more nonetheless <3 That run of getting each of the top 5 positions once apiece over 5 months is a thing of beauty! (and made them only the second country ever, after Aeroche naturally, to notch up 5 consecutive top 5 finishes). They also got comfortably the most votes of any country this year, Cor Lupus' 233 placing second in that metric. Neliönoir have made the top 30 in all three of their years of competing but really stepped up multiple gears this year, their run being 29-18-1. They are the 9th different country to achieve an EOY #1 - Altyr Muunilinst, FSR Rontvia, Kathaldazia, Numayania and Qärenfanghoney (aka Kopečka) have each also managed it once, FARC and Mdiče have done it twice each and Aeroche lap the field multiple times over with an absurd 8 times as EOY champions.

And that's that, thanks Rob for this idea and all the effort you've put into it, and sorry once again that I inadvertently gave you fake news of being in the top 5 the list I sent you for the top 100 songs of the year is 100% correct I promise, I look forward to following that tomorrow and I'll aim to be around to drop some stats posts for that too, maybe none as ambitious as the ones I've done for these top 10 countries though x

Congrats blacksquare, Dan and Cody, a formidable trio. Either of the top two deserved to come out on top, in different ways (that Brer covered there) both were on such impressive form this year.

I've ordered it by the 2025 EOY but it includes all the previous EOY positions for all countries as well as some bonus stats x

As well as all of the top 3 having new peaks, these were also new peaks for Ajanaeda, Mothertopia, Aesthetica (finally in an EOY top 30 for the first time on their 10th attempt!), Cheiron, A-Konohagakure, Macromia, Herbilore, Hinterlandia and technically Zephyra Continuum who we will of course hope to greatly improve next year x

A shame to see Tartford, Quintessa, Rolloland, St. Burbia and Bhangra all sitting the entire year out for the first time in a while among the dropouts of the year - hopefully we may see at least a couple of them make a return some time soon. Or maybe we'll just keep getting mad libs country returns like Dalisska, Lentyll and (forthcoming) Juranabaijan!
