January 14Jan 14 Author Songs: Top 30037 Rita Ora - All Natural | 9-1-3-5-8-22-22-26-28-33-36-39-xOne of the most reliable hitmakers in my chart's history, Rita Ora's been a regular in my EOY charts, featuring almost every year since her debut in 2012 and scoring two EOY top 10s. 2025 returns her to the top 40 for the first time in two years, and her top song of the year is going to become an underrated Rita classic, I think. All Natural is a return to a more sultry vibe that we heard on Body on Me, and it's a sound that Rita pulls off with ease. I saw so many positive tweets about this song, even from people who admittedly weren't Rita fans, so it's a shame it didn't quite manage to cross over (I guess Rita's too far past the point of getting hits now). It became Rita's 17th #1 single, bringing Rita back into joint 2nd for most #1s. If this is an indicator of what's to come from Rita's next album then inject it into my veins xEnd of Year Chart History2012 | 028 | How We Do (Party)2012 | 065 | R.I.P. (feat. This year, his former Why Don't We bandmates Jack Avery and Corbyn Besson follow him into my EOY top 40. Corbyn got off to the slowest start, being the only member not to score a top 10 hit with his debut single (Love Me Better peaked at #13), and until this year, he didn't have any top 5 hits to his name. Enter Blink, a collaboration with TWICE member TZUYU. Blink very much channels early 00s Pharrell-style production and it's the first time I've been entirely convinced that a particular sound suits Corbyn as a soloist. It debuted at #17 in my chart but rose to a peak of #2 two weeks later, a position only bettered by one song each from Daniel and Jack. More of this please Corbyn! Said the Sky had only charted one previous hit, the #5 peaking Spider, with Boy In Space on vocals. I really loved the production on that and how well it complemented Boy In Space's voice, so I had high hopes for this collaboration, despite not knowing any other Said the Sky songs. Thankfully, it met my expectations, mixing Knox's lyrics and vocals with some great electronic production that you wouldn't find in Knox's own music. It's a great bonus to his discography, and became Knox's fourth #1 (all from 2025), and Said the Sky's very first.End of Year Chart HistorySaid the Sky2022 | 075 | Spider (Said the Sky & Boy In Space)2025 | 035 | Dance in the Rain (Said the Sky & Knox)Knox2022 | 057 | Sneakers2022 | 066 | Dumpster Fire2022 | 152 | I Don't Wanna Know2022 | 189 | Time Machine2023 | 110 | Man Down2023 | 113 | Girl on the Internet2023 | 127 | Not the 19752023 | 191 | Backwards (Alexa Cappelli feat. January 15Jan 15 Hi JosephLoving the ex-Little Mix tracks. The deluxe of JADE's album was really strong but 'IT girl' would be my pick of your inclusions.'What Was That' was one of the most-instant Lorde songs for me. What a great way to comeback!'Just Keep Watching' and 'Messy' were great additions to the F1 soundtrack and 'The Fate of Ophelia' was definitely a highlight for Taylor's album. I haven't really been keeping up with Rita Ora for a few years but I did catch 'Heat' and thought it was a great song for the summer months. But my absolute favourites so far are definitely JUMP and twilight zone. I'm so happy JUMP was a decent-sized hit for BLACKPINKGreat chart so far 🙂
January 15Jan 15 Author Songs: Top 30034 Lily Allen - Beg for Me | 1-2-4-6-13-15-20-25-25-...There's much to be said about the art of West End Girl, and speaking about the tracks individually feels strange despite the fact that I've listened plenty away from the full album. That said, Beg for Me feels like an underrated one. It's possibly the most radio-ready track, with a genius Lumidee sample that's used creatively but remains recognisable to the casual ear, and it has a catchy chorus to boot. Though it's a more upbeat song, it's still just as bleak as much of the album is lyrically, but Lily sells it with conviction. It became Lily's first #1 single in eight years when the album was released, and though another track has overtaken it in my affections, this remains one of the best tracks on a phenomenal album.End of Year Chart History2013 | 018 | Hard Out Here2013 | 036 | Somewhere Only We Know2014 | 014 | URL Badman2014 | 039 | Air Balloon2014 | 054 | Our Time2014 | 118 | Life for Me2014 | 141 | As Long As I Got You2014 | 176 | Sheezus2014 | 188 | L8 CMMR2014 | 200 | Silver Spoon2014 | 213 | Wind Your Neck In2018 | 093 | Trigger Bang (feat. You Happened arrived on a very busy chart week as one of four brand new entries in my top 4, so it got pretty unlucky in not becoming his first #1 single (though more on that later). Nevertheless, it was a track I loved immediately. It has one of Knox's most anthemic choruses, with some pretty scathing lyrics ("so go play in traffic" *_ ), and it's easy to hear how it's become one of his favourite songs to perform live. Five more Knox songs remain in the countdown, though we won't be hearing from him again for a short while now...!End of Year Chart History2022 | 057 | Sneakers2022 | 066 | Dumpster Fire2022 | 152 | I Don't Wanna Know2022 | 189 | Time Machine2023 | 110 | Man Down2023 | 113 | Girl on the Internet2023 | 127 | Not the 19752023 | 191 | Backwards (Alexa Cappelli feat. I loved both tracks, but Disease was the one I gravitated to much more, and I was really glad that the album had much more in that vein. Abracadabra was the perfect successor, with a chorus that sits so flawlessly among Gaga's other hit singles, mixed with modern production that makes it impossible to sit still when the track comes on. It was amazing to see it become such an instant hit (after Disease unjustly struggled a little), and it just missed out on #1 in my chart to Nomi Tales' Funniest Thing during Melodifestivalen season, but it's actually higher than that in my EOY so Gaga's won the war.End of Year Chart History2013 | 059 | Applause2013 | 161 | Do What U Want (feat. January 15Jan 15 Author Songs: Top 30031 Bradley Simpson - Carpet Burn | 1-3-7-13-20-23-14-22-27-29-38-xThe Vamps frontman Bradley Simpson scored a top 10 in my EOY last year with his second solo single Picasso, which was his only #1 single in 2024. When digging out the chart history below, I spotted myself saying maybe Carpet Burn (which was days away from release) could return him to the top of my chart. Sure enough, it debuted there, and also achieves a very respectable EOY position too. I love the nostalgic feel to the track, even if one or two of the lyrics are a little...descriptive (the one the title comes from is pure filth x). Fantasia saw a new direction for Michael, with it being heavy on synths, leaning into a dreamier yet ravey soundscape that really suits Michael's vocals. It was a great start to his new era, and it reached #1 in my chart on its first full week. A testament to how good a year 2025 was for Michael is that this is the first of four songs of his in my top 40!End of Year Chart History2022 | 009 | Teenage Drama2022 | 060 | POLAROID2022 | 115 | Ghosted2022 | 129 | APATHY2022 | 137 | BLEAK2022 | 210 | OKAY2022 | 227 | Tonsillitis2023 | 004 | cheating2023 | 032 | sabotage2023 | 042 | smoothie2023 | 045 | girlfriends2023 | 052 | iaw2023 | 102 | december2024 | 023 | promenade2024 | 057 | olivia2024 | 127 | cubicles2024 | 153 | pretty2024 | 223 | balayage2025 | 000 | Happy2025 | 000 | Hell2025 | 000 | Saturday2025 | 030 | Fantasia2025 | 131 | 3minutes29 Benson Boone - Mr Electric Blue | 1-3-3-5-10-15-23-27-28-36-36-x-36-xWhen I saw Benson Boone live near the end of 2024, he played a couple of teasers of some new music he'd worked on. One of them was a track he'd written about his dad, called Mr Electric Blue. I loved it straight away, and it was the first taster of the 80s vibe he was channelling with the American Heart era, too. I was glad that it was both on the album and also the focus track, getting the only proper music video of the era. It's a ready made hit in my opinion (squandered by the release strategy), with a really catchy chorus and top notch production, not to mention it being one of the finest displays of Benson's vocals. It was #1 on debut when the album came out, leading the entire tracklist in my top 20 (and sure enough, it's the only album to place its whole tracklist in my EOY this year).End of Year Chart History2021 | 005 | Ghost Town2022 | 005 | In the Stars2022 | 008 | Before You2022 | 010 | ROOM FOR 22022 | 024 | Better Alone2022 | 128 | Work of Art2022 | 157 | Empty Heart Shaped Box2022 | 215 | NIGHTS LIKE THESE2022 | 266 | Let Me Go2023 | 014 | What Was2023 | 025 | To Love Someone2023 | 030 | Little Runaway2023 | 046 | Sugar Sweet2023 | 234 | Coffee Cake2024 | 001 | Beautiful Things2024 | 003 | Slow It Down2024 | 021 | Pretty Slowly2024 | 039 | Death Wish Love2024 | 051 | Cry2024 | 114 | Be Someone2024 | 226 | Hello Love2024 | 234 | My Greatest Fear2024 | 245 | What Do You Want2024 | 257 | Friend2025 | 000 | Mystical Magical2025 | 000 | Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else2025 | 029 | Mr Electric Blue2025 | 044 | Momma Song2025 | 099 | Wanted Man2025 | 113 | Young American Heart2025 | 197 | Take Me Home2025 | 209 | Man in Me2025 | 242 | Reminds Me of You2025 | 254 | I Wanna Be the One You Call
January 17Jan 17 Author Songs: Top 30028 Michael Aldag - Saturday | 22-2-7-16-18-23-25-21-18-35-xAnother Michael Aldag song departs, and this one didn't quite make it to the top spot. Saturday was the third single from the Crying in the Club EP (and also Michael's newly announced forthcoming full album The Carousel), and what I loved about it immediately was how much of a bop it was. It's the most uptempo track we've heard from this project so far, with a big chorus and heavy synths throughout the verses. Saturday was blocked from #1 by The Kid LAROI's SHE DON'T NEED TO KNOW, which has already departed, so this song is the moral winner of that battle, though two of Michael's chart toppers still remain in the countdown.End of Year Chart History2022 | 009 | Teenage Drama2022 | 060 | POLAROID2022 | 115 | Ghosted2022 | 129 | APATHY2022 | 137 | BLEAK2022 | 210 | OKAY2022 | 227 | Tonsillitis2023 | 004 | cheating2023 | 032 | sabotage2023 | 042 | smoothie2023 | 045 | girlfriends2023 | 052 | iaw2023 | 102 | december2024 | 023 | promenade2024 | 057 | olivia2024 | 127 | cubicles2024 | 153 | pretty2024 | 223 | balayage2025 | 000 | Happy2025 | 000 | Hell2025 | 028 | Saturday2025 | 030 | Fantasia2025 | 131 | 3minutes27 Tribbs & Klara Hammarström - Can't Get Enough (Dr. Feelgood) | 3-2-2-7-11-12-15-20-23-31-36-x-38-xThe final week of 2024 and first week or two of 2025 were a pretty dry period for music, which tends to be the case around that time of year now, but I ended up looking that bit harder for new music last year. One of my favourite discoveries was this anthem from Polish DJ Tribbs. Can't Get Enough interpolates the song Dr. Feelgood by Cool James & Black Teacher, which was a big hit in Sweden in 1994, but made little impact beyond there and Finland (where it made the top 20). With Klara Hammarström on vocals, the song was reworked into a dance pop track with bouncy production and the track's hook at its core, and it's one of the most fun tracks of 2025 for me. Though Klara does have a #1 single to her name, it's this that becomes her biggest EOY hit, and comfortably outpaces her Melodifestivalen 2025 track too.End of Year Chart HistoryTribbs2025 | 027 | Can't Get Enough (Dr. Feelgood) [Tribbs & Klara Hammarström]Klara Hammarström2020 | 182 | Nobody2022 | 039 | Run to the Hills2025 | 027 | Can't Get Enough (Dr. Feelgood) [Tribbs & Klara Hammarström]2025 | 124 | On and On and On26 The Kid LAROI - HOT GIRL PROBLEMS | 1-2-2-3-14-19-24-37-37-xNobody has more EOY hits than The Kid LAROI, and 2025 was another big year, with six EOY top 40 hits added to his sizeable tally. The first to appear is HOT GIRL PROBLEMS, a track that dropped in the middle of the year. The track was teased by Laroi in advance, and though the album he was working on at the time was ultimately scrapped, this one wasn't ever intended to be on it anyway. The track was rumoured to be about Laroi and Tate McRae's split, which was confirmed in the aftermath of this song's release, though how true that is I'm not sure! Of course, the song stormed to #1, and it's probably his most rap-adjacent single release of 2025. The pre-album singles had left a lot to be excited for, even if they made up half of the tracklist alone, but the remaining tracks lived up to the hype, in particular this one. Favourite Band delivers just the right about of sass and saltiness, aimed at an ex who now has a new boyfriend, and Brad sings about writing a hit single and being "in your new boy's favourite band". It's really catchy in addition to that, and feels primed to go viral one day - I hope it does! It was a long runner in my chart, never quite making #1, but it's his longest running hit regardless. I was already excited for Tate McRae's album, given the strength of the pre-album singles, but a feature from The Kid LAROI, her then-boyfriend, was the icing on the cake. It delivered, too - they sound great together, it's a track that sounds ready made for pop radio (and I don't understand why it wasn't ever pushed, unless it was part of a longer term plan that derailed due to their split?). It debuted and peaked at #2 in my chart with a huge opening week, albeit behind a song that's still to come in this countdown. Tate also has another song remaining (and she's already surpassed her highest EOY position with this one!).End of Year Chart HistoryTate McRae2020 | 162 | you broke me first2021 | 040 | You (Regard, Troye Sivan & Tate McRae)2022 | 143 | what would you do?2022 | 184 | she's all i wanna be2022 | 216 | uh oh2023 | 093 | greedy2023 | 158 | exes2024 | 125 | It's ok I'm ok2024 | 161 | 2 hands2025 | 000 | Sports car2025 | 024 | I know love (feat. Synths, a catchy chorus, and bleak lyrics feels like the perfect definition of Crying in the Club, even if that direct phrase is mentioned in a different track (3minutes). This track followed Fantasia to the #1 spot, and it's the highest placed track from the EP itself. Must also shoutout the track's outro - repeated several times as the song closes, "don't you say that the space will be good for us, don't you say, don't you say goodbye, my love". It's so melodic and complements the instrumental so well. A definite high point of his discography so far.End of Year Chart History2022 | 009 | Teenage Drama2022 | 060 | POLAROID2022 | 115 | Ghosted2022 | 129 | APATHY2022 | 137 | BLEAK2022 | 210 | OKAY2022 | 227 | Tonsillitis2023 | 004 | cheating2023 | 032 | sabotage2023 | 042 | smoothie2023 | 045 | girlfriends2023 | 052 | iaw2023 | 102 | december2024 | 023 | promenade2024 | 057 | olivia2024 | 127 | cubicles2024 | 153 | pretty2024 | 223 | balayage2025 | 000 | Hell2025 | 023 | Happy2025 | 028 | Saturday2025 | 030 | Fantasia2025 | 131 | 3minutes
January 17Jan 17 'Abracadabra' and '12 to 12' are my favourites since I last commented The former felt like such a rejuvenated burst of energy for Gaga both musically and visually. Glad it became such a big hit for her! '12 to 12' is the best I've heard from sombr to date, very funky <3 love that he got Addison to dance in the video as well.

January 18Jan 18 Author Songs: Top 30022 Lily Allen - Pussy Palace | 2-3-3-5-8-8-11-13-13-...Arguably the centrepiece of the stellar West End Girl, Pussy Palace has to be up there with the most intriguing song titles to make the UK top 10...! From first listen, I knew this song was a special one. Lily's never been one to hold back with lyrics and Pussy Palace is where the album really steps up a gear, as she details precisely how sex-obsessed her then-husband (allegedly) was. On its own, it has quite the shock factor in lyrics, but it's a gut punch in the album tracklist too, especially following the heartwrenching Relapse. Seeing it reach the UK top 10 was one of my favourite chart moments of 2025, even more so considering I had no expectation at all of Lily even charting one song from this album, but this track will deservedly go down as a Lily classic, even if it tailed off quickly commercially.End of Year Chart History2013 | 018 | Hard Out Here2013 | 036 | Somewhere Only We Know2014 | 014 | URL Badman2014 | 039 | Air Balloon2014 | 054 | Our Time2014 | 118 | Life for Me2014 | 141 | As Long As I Got You2014 | 176 | Sheezus2014 | 188 | L8 CMMR2014 | 200 | Silver Spoon2014 | 213 | Wind Your Neck In2018 | 093 | Trigger Bang (feat. He'd been teasing HOW DOES IT FEEL? for some time on social media, but due to label shenanigans, its release was delayed (not new in Laroi world x). To apologise to the fans, he dropped a bonus track in advance: enter ALL I WANT IS YOU. The track is another Clams Casino production, following NIGHTS LIKE THIS, and once again, Clams brings out the best in Laroi. The production on this track is sublime but Laroi also delivers one of his best vocal performances. Unfortunately this was never in contention for a place on Laroi's album but I think it would've made a brilliant addition regardless.End of Year Chart History2020 | 001 | NEED YOU MOST (So Sick)2020 | 008 | WITHOUT YOU2020 | 009 | SO DONE2020 | 014 | SELFISH2020 | 026 | ALWAYS DO2020 | 028 | GO (The Kid LAROI & Juice WRLD)2020 | 033 | WRONG (feat. At the top of 2025, Doechii's DENIAL IS A RIVER made its top 40 debut, and it was the first time I'd heard any song from the whole Alligator Bites Never Heal project. I was immediately taken aback by how interesting a song it was! Doechii's conversational lyrics and delivery, with the song being set in a therapy session of sorts, is totally genius, and the lyrics are frequently hilarious too - "by a lot, you mean drugs?" I wasn't prepared for what was to come at the end of the song either - the "breathing exercise" actually made me laugh out loud in the best way from that point on, I just couldn't get enough of the song, and it's comfortably my favourite song that I've heard from Doechii. It was unfortunate to miss out on #1 to the return of Marcus & Martinus, whose song Wonder is still to come to be fair.End of Year Chart History2024 | 122 | I'M HIS, HE'S MINE (Katy Perry feat. Happy Ever After All (incorrectly titled on its YouTube video below lol) was my immediate favourite of the songs I hadn't previously heard on the album. I loved its high energy vibe and how huge the chorus sounds, it's the punk-pop vibe fully embraced. I was gutted that it wasn't on the tour setlist, but it still re-entered my top 20 afterwards regardless! It debuted at #6 in my chart but peaked at #5 in its sixth week, spending seven weeks in my top 10 - a really great run for a song that basically scraped my top 5. I really wasn't feeling the Scarlet era, none of its singles made my chart and I wasn't interested in hearing the album, so when Doja announced her comeback, I wasn't really excited. I was so happy to be proved wrong when I listened to Jealous Type and it was love at first listen! It was the fun, lighthearted Doja that I fell in love with when I first heard Say So six years ago, and I really loved the Janet Jackson influence running through this track. I can't believe it wasn't more of a hit, it deserved to be absolutely huge if you ask me, but it did at least return Doja to the #1 spot in my chart for the first time since Say So in January 2020.End of Year Chart History2020 | 005 | Say So2020 | 063 | Baby, I'm Jealous (Bebe Rexha feat. Arriving after the release of his Crying in the Club EP, Hell saw Michael continue to work with Robin Stjernberg (yes, he of Eurovision fame), but this track is more of a brooding midtempo, filled with bitterness about a break-up that turned sour. It became his sixth #1 single upon debut, and only his second to spend multiple weeks there, following his breakout hit in my chart Teenage Drama in 2022. Though the Crying in the Club songs feature on the tracklist too, Hell marks the proper start of Michael's full album era, The Carousel, which is due out in March, and I can't wait to hear it - I expect it'll feature highly in my album countdown this time next year.End of Year Chart History2022 | 009 | Teenage Drama2022 | 060 | POLAROID2022 | 115 | Ghosted2022 | 129 | APATHY2022 | 137 | BLEAK2022 | 210 | OKAY2022 | 227 | Tonsillitis2023 | 004 | cheating2023 | 032 | sabotage2023 | 042 | smoothie2023 | 045 | girlfriends2023 | 052 | iaw2023 | 102 | december2024 | 023 | promenade2024 | 057 | olivia2024 | 127 | cubicles2024 | 153 | pretty2024 | 223 | balayage2025 | 017 | Hell2025 | 023 | Happy2025 | 028 | Saturday2025 | 030 | Fantasia2025 | 131 | 3minutes
January 18Jan 18 Hey Joseph just had a look through, noticed it girl in your top 100 from Jade which I love to see! I also liked seeing 12 to 12 and back to friends, I’ve never added his songs to my playlist but when I hear those two particularly out and about I do enjoy them! Nice to see Lily Allen in here, beg for me was my immediate highlight though now I do prefer songs like Madeline, 4chan Stan or Dallas major, still great to see her charting so highly for you! Love to see pussy palace too, as well as abracadabra, jealous type and denial is a river!

January 18Jan 18 Author Songs: Top 30016 The Kid LAROI - A PERFECT WORLD | 1-1-2-2-4-...Releases that arrive right near the cut-off point are at something of a disadvantage in my EOY. Though they're the freshest songs in my mind, it's harder to rank them against songs I've known and loved for months! A PERFECT WORLD is an example of a song that maybe, with a little more time, would've ended up higher, but for now it's settling at #16. Released as the second single from Laroi's album BEFORE I FORGET, A PERFECT WORLD is reminiscent of 90s R&B, and talks of Laroi believing that "in a perfect world", he would've worked things out in his relationship. It's one of the high points of the full album, and it debuted at #1 of course, spending 2 weeks there, and even now it hasn't yet left my top 5.End of Year Chart History2020 | 001 | NEED YOU MOST (So Sick)2020 | 008 | WITHOUT YOU2020 | 009 | SO DONE2020 | 014 | SELFISH2020 | 026 | ALWAYS DO2020 | 028 | GO (The Kid LAROI & Juice WRLD)2020 | 033 | WRONG (feat. It's led on the chorus by Jack Avery, who always had my favourite vocal of the five boys in the group, so I was really excited to hear his solo music. Typically, he was the last one to release anything! His debut single PLEASE DON'T GO finally dropped in 2025 though, and it was an instant hit to me. It's pretty far removed from anything Why Don't We released, but the production's brilliant, suitably dramatic, and it keeps Jack's excellent vocals at the forefront. Jack became the second member of the group to get a solo #1 hit (after Daniel Seavey), and he outpaces Daniel's best EOY position by just one spot!End of Year Chart History2025 | 015 | PLEASE DON'T GO2025 | 248 | TAKE THE WHEEL14 Ruel - Destroyer | 20-x-32-6-4-9-10-1-1-1-...Another case of a late-in-the-year hit being at a slight disadvantage! Nevertheless, this is a strong showing for Ruel's top track of the year. His second album era kicked off with #1 hit I Can Die Now, and I really enjoyed the pre-album material, but I stopped in my tracks when I heard this song on the album. The vocal performance mixed with the light and shade in the production between the verses and chorus, it's an epic track! It was an immediate highlight, and it just kept growing on me, becoming a top 5 hit before it became a single, at which point it zoomed to become Ruel's seventh #1 in my chart, still at the top spot for a third (and final) week at the cut-off point. I think this one will become one of my top favourite Ruel tracks over time, and I really hope he announces a London tour date soon because I need to hear this song live!End of Year Chart History2018 | 019 | Younger2018 | 039 | Dazed & Confused2019 | 010 | Painkiller2019 | 049 | Free Time2019 | 101 | Real Thing2019 | 137 | Face to Face2019 | 282 | Flames (SG Lewis feat. I'd heard it played before his concert about a month before, as he included it on the pre-show playlist inside the venue, and I was really hyped for its official release. With the momentum of a #1 album behind him, fancy debuted at #1 in my chart and spent three weeks at the top, seeing 2025 in in style! It's my favourite track of his to date, with the relentless synths that made i like the way you kiss me so great, and a fantastic hook too. It feels hit-ready so it was a shame it wasn't really pushed!End of Year Chart History2024 | 035 | i like the way you kiss me2024 | 149 | how could u love somebody like me?2024 | 155 | i always kinda knew you'd be the death of me2024 | 165 | if u think i'm pretty2024 | 193 | dirty little secret2024 | 238 | you've been a bad girl2025 | 013 | fancy2025 | 087 | eat me alive2025 | 100 | test drive2025 | 162 | xvideos2025 | 176 | southbound2025 | 220 | before we say goodbye2025 | 232 | i guess u never really cared about me2025 | 273 | superstar12 Marcus & Martinus - Wonder | 1-2-4-6-10-12-16-12-15-20-22-23-34-34-38-xThe first brand new #1 of 2025 came from Norwegian twins Marcus & Martinus. Previously, they'd achieved two #1 singles, with their respective Melodifestivalen entries in 2023 and 2024, Air and Unforgettable (the latter of course going on to be Sweden's Eurovision entry in 2024). Wonder wasn't related to Melfest, but it did score an easy #1 regardless, and comes close to placing them in the EOY top 10 for the third year running. It's a great dance pop track with a catchy, melodic hook, and it's their highest performing track of 2025.End of Year Chart History2016 | 244 | Elektrisk (feat. A COLD PLAY dropped just a week after SHE DON'T NEED TO KNOW, and brought a very different vibe to its summery, chill predecessor. The title is of course a reference to Coldplay, undoubtedly stemming from "fix you" being a prevalent phrase in the track. The trap production is one of Laroi's best beats, and it's one of his most emotive tracks lyrically, too. Though it had a relatively short run in my top 10 at first, it's had great longevity, and this week just gone, it's returned to my top 10 thanks to its parent album being released. A really strong track from Laroi and one of his most mature songs to date.End of Year Chart History2020 | 001 | NEED YOU MOST (So Sick)2020 | 008 | WITHOUT YOU2020 | 009 | SO DONE2020 | 014 | SELFISH2020 | 026 | ALWAYS DO2020 | 028 | GO (The Kid LAROI & Juice WRLD)2020 | 033 | WRONG (feat. January 19Jan 19 Author Songs: Top 30010 Knox - Voicemail | 30-21-17-18-7-6-10-15-20-28-35-x-39-39-x-37-x-3-2-8-14-16-21-37-37-xI'll be talking a lot about Knox in the top 10, given he has an enormous four songs in it, but we begin with an album track from Going, Going, Gone. The track talks of an awkward moment, meeting a girl in a bar and hitting it off, and leaving a flirty voicemail on her phone before realising she's very much not single...! Lyrically it's humorous, and I love the storytelling approach to it, but it's by no means a joke track. It's become a fan favourite, and it's easy to see why, being packed full of hooks.Voicemail has had quite the chart run, debuting at #30, only the eleventh (!) highest Knox song in my chart that week. As the album continued to hold up in my affections, Voicemail gained steam, rising almost every week until it cracked the top 10. This run was already pretty solid, but it then came back for more after I saw Knox live, and the song was one of my favourite performances. It peaked at #2 in this run, being blocked from the top spot only by Knox's own song D.N.A. It's bound to become a regular on Knox's tour setlists - I hope so, anyway, as it's his very first EOY top 10 hit for me!End of Year Chart History2022 | 057 | Sneakers2022 | 066 | Dumpster Fire2022 | 152 | I Don't Wanna Know2022 | 189 | Time Machine2023 | 110 | Man Down2023 | 113 | Girl on the Internet2023 | 127 | Not the 19752023 | 191 | Backwards (Alexa Cappelli feat. January 19Jan 19 Author Songs: Top 3009 The Kid LAROI - HOW DOES IT FEEL? | 2-2-1-1-2-3-6-7-12-20-27-34-xThe Kid LAROI has a bit of a habit of teasing songs for quite a long time before release. Granted, it's definitely not his fault that songs get delayed, record label shenanigans have hit him hard, but HOW DOES IT FEEL? took so long to come out that he released a whole other song (ALL I WANT IS YOU) as an apology beforehand! Nevertheless, this track was worth the wait. It's smooth and slick in a way no previous Laroi song had been, and set the new era up really well. Of course, that era didn't materialise in the end, but I'd have loved an album of music like this.HOW DOES IT FEEL? debuted at #2 in my chart before climbing to #1, which is pretty rare for a pre-album Laroi single. Unluckily, it ran straight into Benson Boone's album release week, followed by Jack Avery's PLEASE DON'T GO, but did secure two weeks atop my chart afterwards. More vitally, the track secures Laroi a place in my EOY top 10 for an unprecedented sixth year in a row - only Alyssa Reid (2012-13), Iggy Azalea (2013-15), Cheat Codes (2016-17), Dua Lipa (2017-18), froy (2018-19), Alec Benjamin (2018-19), Greyson Chance (2019-20), Boy In Space (2020-21), Powfu (2020-21), Benson Boone (2021-22 and 2024-25), Michael Aldag (2022-23), Sarcastic Sounds (2022-23), Marcus & Martinus (2023-24) and dearALICE (2024-25) have made it two consecutive years in my top 10, and no other artist has made it even three years on the trot, so six is mightily impressive.End of Year Chart History2020 | 001 | NEED YOU MOST (So Sick)2020 | 008 | WITHOUT YOU2020 | 009 | SO DONE2020 | 014 | SELFISH2020 | 026 | ALWAYS DO2020 | 028 | GO (The Kid LAROI & Juice WRLD)2020 | 033 | WRONG (feat.
