Guys, if you're going to work collaboratively on a recurrent list, could you take the discussion to PMs please? It's cluttering up the thread! Thanks!

If anyone was wondering you could fit all Capital FM playlist threads from 2020 - 2024 and four months of 2025 into this thread...

Sorry so is there now a separate Capital Weekender playlist that's now being published? Or is it a "playlist" on Global Player?

Look on their "new adds" on Instagram

I wonder how the Big Top 40 will cope with the Ed-Macklemore controversy today and going forward (especially with Capital and their concerts). Will they remove him like with Diddy and Kanye?

Edited by Sami Hook Jama

Remove who? They haven't stopped playing Ed Sheeran.

Macklemore hasn't been played on Capital Anthems since Wednesday morning and before that he was getting multiple plays daily. Global showing their hand here? or just reading into too much 🤷‍♂️

Are they only keeping him on because he had 23 number ones on Big Top 40 and had numerous appearences at Capital’s Balls?

Feels like Macklemore could appear no more than 3 times today in the chart

probably what they did with Ariana Grande. the reason she got pulled was probably the mass homewrecker controversy cropping up nonstop. They can’t get away with pulling Ed Sheeran or even P!nk cause of how they are household names in the UK, as much as both deserve to get the boot. given how Nicki Minaj is doing just fine though on these stations, i find it interesting they even pulled one artist to begin with.

He hasn't been played on the main Captial as well.

What was controversial about Ariana? And yes, P!nk hasn’t shown on Capital since 2023 - not sure why?

Luckily, Macklemore isn’t here but we do have Hugel at number one, as well as his collaborator Imael Angel entering and other new entries featuring ADÉLA (x2), James Arthur, Phil Collins, Troye Sivan, Wretch 32, Kings of Leon and Teddy Swims (re and new entry)

Phil Collins and Philip Bailey - Easy Lover must have got a reset lol. Not sure it's doing well enough on the OCC Chart to get one there!

Maybe it will eventually

If Nicole Kidman had a remix, who would feature?

Are you happy ADÉLA is now in chart? @Jay79x

i was happy 2 months ago when Ain't In LA got in the official charts if that answers your question?

Also Will Manning said “oldest song ever to chart” when referring to Phillip Bailey/Phil Collins. I thought that was Rule Britannia and Ode to Joy till I saw that those versions were released in the 90s and early 00s

What about the Christmas songs?

Monster Mash & Thriller are older too.
