January 18Jan 18 Senegal's goal was wrongly disallowed imo and Brahim Diaz went down softly so justice done in terms of missing the penalty.

Why shouldn't every team do that now a penalty is awarded against them to disrupt the other team...
January 18Jan 18 I hope Senegal win now. They're certainly not the first team who have suggested that the tournament is being fixed in Morocco's favour during this tournament.

January 18Jan 18 Senegal have done it! The 50 year wait for Morocco goes on. Craziest end to a match I can remember.
January 18Jan 18 2 wins in 3 tournaments for Senegal then. Bad look for the tournament tonight but an even badder look for poor Diaz...
January 18Jan 18 And yet the drama was brilliant!!Not sure how this Morocco team come and perform at the World Cup after that but we shall see.Did anyone see the Senegal fans trying to storm the pitch when Diaz was taking the pen?
January 19Jan 19 i’m GAGGING for the drama lol it makes up for the most predictable results ever (the only shock i think is mali knocking out tunisia)

Diaz though will be having nightmares about this for the rest of his life, some people are saying that he missed on purpose but I don't think so. He was the one who hounded the referee to go to VAR in the first place. Speaking of the referee he had an absolute shocker in this match and was even smiling at one point during the penalty/walk-out chaos.
January 21Jan 21 That final was absolute cinema. Much more thrilling than the 1-0 result had me thinking before I clicked the YouTube highlight package.Here's how each of the World Cup nations' FIFA Rankings changed pre to post tournament. This was going to be considered one of the best ways to check the status of the African teams going into the World Cup:Congo DR | 56 >> 48 | +8Senegal | 19 >> 12 | +7Algeria | 34 >> 28 | +6Ivory Coast | 42 >> 37 | +5Egypt | 35 >> 31 | +4Morocco | 11 >> 8 | +3South Africa | 61 >> 60 | +1Tunisia | 41 >> 47 | -6Cape Verde (67) and Ghana (72) were absent and their ranking was unchanged.The two biggest countries that failed to qualify had huge tournament performances and also had the best FIFA rank change.Nigeria | 38 >> 26 | +12Cameroon | 57 >> 45 | +12 Edited January 21Jan 21 by DJHazey
