Note totals for some of the Christmas / old songs are approximate, but should still be within 100k. Full chart for Week 1: 1 Olivia Dean Man I Need 52,000 1,150,000 2 Huntr/x, Ejae, Audrey Nuna, Rei

I know it’s very early days, but it’s weird that the biggest song of the year so far hasn’t yet spent a week in the top five in 2026! One of the vagaries of ACR I suppose. I remember it was considere

I wonder if in the coming weeks Milky will have already eclipsed its lifetime total in this run?

I seem to remember it being certified silver fairly recently.

It hasn't had a silver certification yet (as per BPI), so wouldn't surprise me if it's done it already!

The loss of 'I Thought I Saw Your Face Today' makes it the highest song on the Spotify YTD not on the OCC list at #43, followed by fellow drop outs 'Sweater Weather' (#54) and 'Fame is a Gun' (#60) with 'Babydoll' third on the list at #59.

Re-entry for 'Dog Days are Over' (2010: #93, 2023: #70, 2024: #99; 2025: #97) and sort of for 'Just the Way You Are' (#167 in 2002).

If you're counting top 200s then I think Dog Days Are Over was top 200 in 2009 and 2011 also?

I really wish they still did top 200s. I understand the OCC want the yearly chart to be the same size as the weekly chart, but we get songs that are big chart hits in the summer or later that miss the year-end chart, plus loads of old songs taking up slots, so I would really like a top 200 back for the year-end charts personally.

Nah not counting hence “sort of” - just mentioning it for that song.

Presumably iloveitiloveitiloveit is in and maybe Babydoll? Anyone got an estimate for Choosin Texas?

Looks like "Mr. Brightside" will be the first song to reach 7 million units in the UK.

Another week with no new/re-entries this early on is somewhat surprising. Normally it’s over half way through the year before we get our first

It will be the first time to reach any figure you name probably.

Do you think last christmas has lost over the years to not make the differences up in november and December then ?

Yes - 100%. A couple of years ago, Last Christmas was ahead in the yearly rankings, but last year Mr Brightside was - and it is still growing.

Last Christmas was probably ahead on the all time list for a couple of days at the end of December, but it seems that Mr Brightside will now be there permanently.

Looks like we now have confirmation that RE for songs on a YE list are songs that made a previous year's top 250! That's So True was number 105 for 2024.
