I know it’s very early days, but it’s weird that the biggest song of the year so far hasn’t yet spent a week in the top five in 2026! One of the vagaries of ACR I suppose. I remember it was considere

I've stopped following this so closely but was still keeping track of what was still on the list. I was really overestimating You Stole The Show and Chanel - the latter fell off the hip hop charts abruptly so thought they had dropped it from that genre but it seems it really did have a massive fall off!

It's just essentially 2025 all over again, but with 2025 songs instead of 2024 songs

Just looking through this thread.....I did not realise 2026 was so hitless.

Only 6 of the top 40 songs of the year being from 2026 is so dire, like we're going to be in June next week.

Those two Sabrina songs out before the two Huntr/x songs in the bottom end is a surprise. Was also underestimating The Door and A Bar Song.

Nice to Meet You still at #82 is crazy. Hasn’t charted at all on Spotify this year.

"Mr. Brightside" is now only roughly 60k from being the first song to get a 12x Platinum certification.

Watch as ‘Last Christmas’ gets a sudden midsummer boost thanks to the hot weather, and gets there first.

(Yes - I know: despite being on around 7 million combined sales, ‘Last Christmas’ has only gone 9 platinum but please don’t let that spoil my joke.)

The KDH tracks falling out fast now 😢😢

RMI getting close to MIN how many weeks before it overtakes do we reckon

With the songs in the 30s quite bunched up, I wonder if Fleetwood Mac, Dreams will climb quite a bit over the next few weeks.

Great to see ‘Smooth Criminal’ in there - despite not having charted, and I imagine ‘Dirty Diana’ will eventually chart too.

I’m sure we’ve had this chat before, but have there been many cases of a song not charting during a year, then ending up in the year end top 100? And are there other songs in there at the moment that haven’t charted this year?

I think ‘Silver Springs’ was one of them but I’m not sure it is still in.

It certainly hasn’t happened to date that a song that’s never charted AT ALL has made the year end chart and is quite likely to this year - still have “OK Love You Bye”, “I’ve Seen It” and “Silver Springs”. The first of those especially is at #43 and still going strong.

Interesting that Dirty Diana has entered ahead of Don't Stop... or Human Nature!
