Huge sales for the top 7 - Golden's not far off 2x plat (was confirmed to be on 1,142,204 by Alan Jones in early December), would love to know where Lights Up sits these days as it feels more forgotten than most of his other singles.

I think maybe a top 20 is pushing it at this stage, but that top 10 genuinely all feel like pretty big songs.

Shame 'Daylight' wasn't really pushed as it's one of my absolute favourites of his.

^ I'll always say that more chart info is never a bad thing, it's cool (and less predictable) to see the order of the lower tracks!

Yes, there's been loads of teases this week!

Fairplay at the sales 😮 he doesn't feel like he been huge long enough to have that many hits, im guessing thats the side effect of a 3 track rule

That's probably my favourite Harry Styles track, I can't believe it's not even top 20! I know it wasn't an official single but I'm sure it was some kind of promo single wasn't it? Didn't it have a video and stuff?

Yes it was sent to radio and had a proper video!

no it was a single. it got sent to “adult contemporary” formats in the UK in jan 2021… essentially heart, smooth etc.

He was massive in 2022 which must have given his entire back catalogue a lift.

His solo career started nearly 9 years ago, though I'd say things really took off for him in terms of numbers at the beginning of this decade.

My go-to benchmark for what is an official single by a big artist is whether it was playlisted by Radio1, and this wasn't, which is why I wasn't sure if it was a proper single or a promotional one. I wonder why they didn't playlist it?

I'm being extremely pedantic here, and it doesn't make a difference really, but I think Heart is HAC and Radio 2 is AC. I have listened to it before, but I have no idea what Smooth would count as honestly because it seems different to other typical HAC and AC stations.
